Introduction
The Knights Order of the Virtuous Blood or simply Hallowblood order, is an organisation of holy knights founded exclusively for the witchblood within Regalia. The Order itself is quite young, only being founded after the discovery of the Hallowbloods. The Holy Knights, as they are referred to, answer directly to the Synod, yet still do not work alone, often working closely with the Inquisition.
Those phantasma who have gained entry into the order are granted the Hallowblood substance, which quells their urges to feed and grants them divine boons. However should a knight abandon his duties, he will lose these boons in less than a week. Being a Holy order, certain conditions must naturally be met, candidates must first and foremost be witchblood, but also faithful Unionists; they must show humility, zeal and diligence. The Hallowblood in the order are not considered witchblood, most don't even know they are witchblood at all, instead they are considered a divine blessing from the spirits.
Holy Knights are granted the privilege to find and eradicate heretics, aberrants and voidlings, as a secondary objective it enforces the will of the Synod. To fulfill their goals the Knights are equipped with the best armor, weapons and even a vast library on inhuman creatures and items. Knights are often granted whatever weapons or tools, they require to fulfill their task. Each Holy Knight is granted a specially blessed signet ring, that represents their membership to the Order.
Hierarchy
THE GRANDMASTER
The Grandmaster sits as the head of the Order, directing the order towards whatever agenda it might have. His authority in the Order is absolute. Answering only to the High Reverend and collective Synod. He assumes most of the administrative duties of the Order which have not already been delegated to the lower command.
THE SENESCHAL
The Commander of logistics and second to the Grandmaster. Often an elder hallowblood, who has proved his abilities as a combatant and a leader. The seneschal maintains the day-to-day leading of the organisation, and so is allowed to accept in new Hallowblood.
KNIGHT-SERGEANT
Knight-Sergeants or simply sergeants have been given the additional responsibility of leading other Holy Knights in their tasks. Sergeants are allowed limited authority in the field. Sergeants are allowed to conduct their own missions in Regalia, with the consent of either the Seneschal or Grandmaster.
HOLY KNIGHT
Holy Knights are the Hallowblood who have been properly trained and succeeded in at the very least two progression missions. Holy Knights are if the occasion allows it, assigned a squire, who they will act as a mentor to.
SQUIRE
Squires are the fledgeling Hallowblood. They have recently been accepted by the Synod and have been assigned to apprentice under a Holy Knight. In time they will ascend to knighthood.
Aspirants to the Holy Order may pen a letter to the Grandmaster, expressing interest and qualifications or find the Grandmaster in person.
