The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation was founded in 305 AC by Jaecar Typhonus. In an attempt to garner more support for the charities that gave so much to the community yet garnered so little recognition, he decided to found this organisation to support these charities he found worthy by offering his connections to the wealthy and powerful, convincing them, should need be, that charity is something they are interested in donating to.

What is the Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation?

The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation is an organisation dedicated to helping those causes they see as worthy charitable efforts. This help is offered in various forms, and delivered freely to those charitable efforts that sign up and are deemed worthy.


The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation is however not a charity in itself, rather a middleman between those who seek to offer charity and those who have the means of supporting them. The services are however free for those charities that have in fact been deemed worthy causes.


The forms of support that are offered are as follows:

Monetary support.
The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation acts as a middleman to any donations received or granted. Oft times these are procured from nobility, but any and all sources are accepted and will be sought after. Should these funds be granted to us on a preliminary basis, we would assure that the cause that would obtain these boons is fully worthy and aligned with the founding principles of the organisation.

Public recognition.
Another way the Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation offers support to causes is to seek important and respected individuals and convince them to speak of the charity in public occasions. Ranging from simple public occurrences to assemblies of the nobility, this type of support is valuable in it's ability to inspire aid and generally make said charitable effort more well known in the public eye.

Troop support.
A relief effort on a large scale often requires military support. Troops can be assigned by those who command them to help and support such efforts, but it is often hard for a charity to procure a noble willing to lend these. The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation aims to help in such matters due to their relationship and contacts within the circles of those able to lend aid.

Staff support.
Ofttimes there are specific roles to be filled in a charitable effort. A school for the poor and unfortunate may in fact offer education, but they require those able to teach to actually succeed in this. For this specific support, the Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation offers to seek out and contact those who would be able and willing to fulfill such a role.

Contactual support.
Charitable efforts at times fall on deaf ears. People that are often of value to such an effort are more often than not busy with other things. The Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation wishes to aid those charitable efforts in reaching out to the people they require. Due to its contacts, the call for support should be much clearer and result in a far quicker answer than other attempts.

Chairman: Jaecar Typhonus (@Markisbeest)
The chairman is the head of the foundation, deciding its general course along the lines of accepting charities and offering support.


Deputy Chairman: Eleana Ravenstad (@ItsConstance )
The deputy chairman has an advisory role on all decisions made by the chairman, together with the chairman they offer leadership to the foundation in obtaining and handing out support.


Treasurer: Vacant
The treasurer manages the financial part of the foundation. Donations that are incoming and donations that are outgoing are all documented and managed by the treasurer.


Spokespeople: Lycette Fillia-Ombre (@Erzly )
Spokespeople are the public arm of the foundation, supporting the causes of the foundation in any way they can. There are but few spokespeople, as quality is far more important than quantity in this case.​

Supported causes


The causes supported by the Calemberger Philanthropist Foundation are currently as follows:

Lady Black's Almshouse and Refuge, and Lady Black's School for the Public
For performing the noble task of aiding those who are down on their luck and need but a helping hand to regain their purpose in the servitude of the Regalian Empire.

Regalian Safeguard Society
For performing the necessary task of a watchdog and first responder to crises pertaining the good unionist citizens of the Regalian Empire.

Crown City Sawbones
For valiantly acting without self-interest in the matters of public health amongst the good citizenry of the Regalian Empire.

Hello! I am Clementine Bötticher, an Ithanian traveler recently come to Regalia. During my time here thus far I have been trying to help as many individuals as I can do that if I ever plan to leave, I would've left a good mark and if I don't, at least people will know that I'm always someone they can always come to in times of need! I currently run and operate a shop, La Jarrow Tearoom, which is based around the beautiful tearoom and shops of the New Ceardian city, Jarrow. With use of this shop, I have tried getting in contact with Lady Elizabeth Black on the terms of wishing to help her Almshouse by providing them with teas and soups to help with the coming cold winter. I also am seeking to help local merchants by buying their goods and using them with my shop, such as the honey from Madame Aesling A. Sylina.

As such, when I saw your notice for help wanted, I came across the fact that they are currently seeking someone learned in both etiquette and house work- two things I grew up learning about! I would be most honoured to be allowed a position in work seeing how my position at Morbus Imperium didn't exactly work out as it was closed right before my interview to work their was going to occur.

We are overjoyed to see such an enthusiastic response to our queries.
Firstly we shall certainly bring you into contact with a representative of the almshouse for your generous offer of supplying the needy with tea and soup for the coming colder months. I have taken note from certain sources that the Lady Black in fact intends to soon have a soup kitchen, with which she wishes to provide food to the underprivileged, perhaps your generous services could be of help with such an event aswell.

As for your reply to the positions of learned individuals for the subjects of etiquette and house work. This involves a new project, which has been in the works for yet a while now. It is in fact a position that requires the teaching of said subjects in the newest addition to Lady Black's Almshouse, which is to be an education program. If you are in fact interested in aiding such a venture, I would ask for your permission to write the lady Black with your intent and she shall assume further contact with you should she deem you preferable for the position. If there are any stipulations to your availability and circumstances I am certain you will mention these in your reply.

We currently support no charity that conforms to your wishes of buying goods from merchants, however, should you wish to aid those down on their luck, might I suggest seeing if produce from Brissiauds is within reason of your demand, as the population and economy there has suffered under the various occupying forces as of late. A relief effort is underway, being initiated by the Regalian Safeguard Society, If you would wish to discuss this further, perhaps an attempt at closer cooperation could be made.

I look forward to your reply, although perhaps, seeing the numerous nature of issues and propositions, it may be better to meet in person. I will let your person decide.
