Caduceus main objective as an organization is to offer players a place for roleplay that we try to enforce as in-depth, lore-accurate and realistic as possible. The main activity and objective of Caduceus is to accumulate (legitimate) knowledge in in-game books, written in-character, and archive those in a massive in-game library we call "The Caduceus Archive". Our members are skilled writers and mostly experienced roleplayers that put a lot of worth in good roleplay. One could also say, the main objective of Caduceus is to have an in-game-accessible Wiki. An alternative to looking up articles in the Massivecraft Wiki: Actually travelling to Caduceus Headquarters or buy a copy of our books and acquire the knowledge in-character. Of course, we don't sit around writing all day. The spectrum of activities is a bit wider so we can offer our members more diversified roleplay. Other activities of the syndicate would be embassador work, field research (independently and via order), councelling work for our clients (such as royal families, communes and hopefully someday governments) or direct work within the syndicate's headquarters in Eotor.

This is the current list of Divisions our members can choose three at max from during their registration:
-Division I.: Scribe
-Division II.: Archive
-Division III.: Embassy
-Division IV.: Floral (marine & land)
-Division V.: Endemic (land-based Fauna; includes Beasts, Insectoids, Elementa, Necropharges, Ogroids, Spectrers, Relics and Hybrids)
-Division VI.: Piscine (marine Fauna)
-Division VII.: Dracnoid
-Division VIII.: Culinary
-Division IX.: Metallurgy (includes minerals & crytals/gems)
-Division X.: Crafts (extremely diverse division, everything that can be called a craft)
-Division XI.: Science (everything with scientific or especially academic backgrounds)
-Division XII.: History
-Division XIII.: Abberant (everything magic that isnt affiliated with "evil"/"dark"/"occult")
-Division XIV.: Martial (everything related to practicing combat)
( -Division ?.: Black Division / Special Assignments / [REDACTED] )
Note: This list is not fixed, if there is reason or opportunity to create a new division, we will consider it.

Politically Caduceus can be best described as neutral. It has no specific alliances to any parties and tries it's best to stay out of conflict of any kind. Caduceus is not loyal to anyone but it's cause and creating progress in Academics, by all means necessary. While most alliances are kept passive Caduceus is always happy to create ties to new clients.
The moral alignment of Caduceus is best described as grey. All goes as long as long as the organization or it's public reputation and general credibility remains unscathed. If the syndicate's activities range into the underground and more legally questionable activities is unknown to the public.
Due to the highly secretive, mysterious and inclusive behaviour of the eerie organization that is Caduceus, people often feel like Caduceus is very similar to a sect.

Caduceus is ought to be located in Eotor. More specifically, the Barony of Brigantium in Faventia, led by @Anarchizm . Soon with reasonably big headquarters which will be placed as soon as the barony's construction progress allows it.
While the core of Caduceus lies in Faventia, it is planned to have multiple outposts, or rather embassies, which allow the syndicate to have a further, more local reach in various locations. Members are not required to move to Brigantium, naturally it would be optimal to eliminate the need to travel to meetings, but it is by no means required. That is also because the HQ itself is not planned to have living quarters (yet).

Q: Can my character work in multiple divisions at once?
A: Yes. Fundamentally it is possible, without many restrictions. Your character should be familiar with the field of the division, to prevent metagaming. If your characters work, i.e. written texts are quality wise lacking, you will be excluded from the Division for a certain period of time.
Q: Whats the main purpose of Caduceus?
A: Accumulating IC texts in the HQ which currently is planned to be in Faventia. The activities include travelling and acquiring knowledge of your assigned field(s) and writing them into extensive IC books, often with multiple Volumes to one subject. Alternatively you can also take the articles in the Wiki (if your character has that knowledge or means to acquire it IC) and re-write them into IC books to have them be archived.
Q: Are you just copy-pasting Wiki articles into in-game books?
A: No. We want to write our own texts that are all in-character and have "real" books written by character within Massivecraft's universe.
Q: Whats Caduceus Morality/Orientation?
A: Best answer that would not be vague like everything the Syndicate states to the public would be that they are morally grey at best, or ranging "Chaotic Good" over "Chaotic Neutral" all the way to just questionable. The primary objective is always accumulating the knowledge of the world and putting them into books which are safely stored and protected alongside advancing mankind in academics, science and crafts. No matter if that knowledge is public, forgotten, private or forbidden.
Q: Are character sheets required to be part of Cadeceus?
A: Having one is encouraged because we can assess what your character is legitimately capable of, but not forced, no.
Q: Do all Members have to write books?
Its not forced to write books, encouraged, but not forced. But either you write books yourself or help the others of your Divisions that write texts. Alternatively besides writing texts or helping those that do, a character can take another working position, such as merchant, craftsman, archiver/librarian or be the first to found a private milita for Caduceus. There really arent any limitations if run by the leader(s).
Q: Can anyone just write a book and put it into the Archive?
A: No. Members that are on "The Watchlist" write a book and have one of the Controllers proof-read it. If its good, it gets added into the archives, if not, it should be rewritten or adjusted. If you have proven yourself to be a consistently good writer, you wont have to run every text your character writes past a Controller, meaning you get off the watchlist. Controllers are chosen by the Lord Centurion.
Q: "Syndicate" sounds very criminal, like a Mafia, is that really so?
A: Not really. A syndicate is essentially a group with a certain interest and sometimes a goal associated to that interest. What morality or which means to use is up to the group in question. In Caduceus that interest is Academics and accumulating them, pushing them forth to evolve society.

If we sparked your interest, questions or even passion, I am very happy to answer you.
You should contact Lichtspiel (Lord Centurion Spriggan) over Discord:
