• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

You find yourself in your bedroom, sitting at a desk or make shift table behind your laptop or PC grinding out on some minecraft roleplay. As you articulate your fourth paragraph entry emote into the tavern, you hear a knock at your door. As you approach, you see a familiar man holding out a brochure towards you. And before you crack down on how this man is familiar, he says or conducts a series of events you could have sworn you've seen or experienced before, but you don't know when or how.

You take the brochure and close the door baffled. A sensation arises through your gut, one of familiarity and panorama.

"Deja vu..." you mutter to yourself.

You just perceived the future! You attempt to harness this sensation and newfound superpower to use at your own will, but as soon as it arrived, you lose the ability to harness it, and the sensation and superpower subsides.

But that's impossible! You JUST saw the future. You know it deep down. Or did you?

Lets rewind the clip. There you are, walking to the door again. But prior to this day, there is no memory of those events you could've sworn you saw before. No memory of that instance. So you know for a fact you are seeing something that already happened. You're seeing into the future!

The brain is a funny thing. Sometimes we believe we ourselves are the brain, when in reality, our conscious minds are actually servants to the brain itself. The brain and the conscious person are separate entities. We believe ourselves the controller, however the brain at any given moment, can easily take that controller in our hands away, like a mother would to a child playing a video-game for bedtime. How do we know this? Because we are not in complete control of our bodies. We like to believe ourselves in control, however certain bodily functions are beyond our power to supervise during difficult times, such as during shock.

We continue the clip. Upon opening the door, the conscious brain pauses and the scene of thought ceases, however the subconscious brain continues to operate. Our thoughts and conscious minds continue to process without sending the images or thoughts to us, as a soul or thinking being.

Like an engine operating a Telsa, but the computer is down. The engine is still doing work in the vehicle, but its sending no information to the computer itself. Our brain sees what we don't. We ourselves are off, but the brain operates and continues. A war of the subconscious mind and the conscious mind.

As soon as the cold war between minds ends however, the brain finally surrenders and sends the information to us, the subconscious mind, in the form of images. These images feel familiar... As if a part of ourselves have seen it before. Because a part of ourselves did, our brain, but we didn't receive that information first. We received it last, seconds after it happened. We processed what already happened at a delay.

And that is Deja Vu.
