"When music sounds, out of the water rise
Naiads whose beauty dims my waking eyes,
Rapt in strange dreams burns each enchanted face,
With solemn echoing stairs their dwelling-place."

"Music, oh, how faint, how weak,
Language fades before thy spell!
Why should Feeling ever speak,
When thou canst breathe her soul so well?"

♬ The boy quickly learned to keep light on his feet and made the best of his situation by becoming the storefront manager for his family, selling weapons and armor to anyone who came by their port-side smithy.
♬ At the age of sixteen, Terrowin picked up the lyre and began to travel, learning to sing, dance, and play a variety of instruments as his musical talents grew, fostered by his love of performing.
♬ At the age of Eighteen, he travelled towards Ithania to learn more of the arts, joining the Sororité d'Artiste of the Hoterie.
♬ At the age of twenty, Terrowin arrived on the Imperial Isle seeking fortune and fame for his talents. After one hectic year, he decided go back to travelling the world, trying to amass more knowledge and connections with his skills as a musician. Now at twenty-six, the bard is in his prime, and is ready to make big waves once more.
Born into a long line of Steelsmiths as a runt, Terrowin struggled to follow in the footsteps of his family. He would often be used as a salesman for his family, meeting all sorts of people to sell their wares to. He learned to be good with people, and good with languages. As he got older, he was expected to work the forge, but every attempt he made ended in disaster of some form. Except for one- a simple steel dagger, with an intricate hilt of his own design. With this piece being a success, his family was satisfied, and allowed him to leave the Smithy life behind.
As a salesman, he always got a small cut of whatever his family sold. He had a nice nest egg built up, and used it to buy a lyre. He taught himself how to use it, and learned further from his cousins, but quickly outmatched them in his talents. Alongside his lyre, he taught himself songs to sing from passing caravans, writing them down if he liked their lyrics. To complement his song and music, he started practicing some simple dance to go alongside it in his "performances." For a while, his entire income was based on performing in the local pub.
In his mind, the idea of becoming a famous bard started lurking. When he came of age, he started travelling further and further away from his home, performing in pubs across the Heartlands and Regal areas. Of course, he ran into a few issues along the way, but kept himself safe with his dagger. On the road, he learned to hunt for food, buying a simple hunting bow and some arrows. He became a remarkably good marksman, at least in a hunting sense.
Eventually, he left the province he called home, travelling all over the empire & beyond the country. He wrote songs of his travels, meeting all sorts of people, proud to play on the road or at an inn. When he became comfortable enough on his income, he got rid of his old Lyre and bought a new one, made out of beautiful pinewood. He sold pelts from the animals he hunted, while scaring off thieves with his nimble dagger work. The only real issue he'd had so far was being arrested and fined for drunken disorderly conduct, but he paid the fine and got to walk.
When he finally made it to Regalia, he was overjoyed to be able to start performing in the city. He's often seen on a street corner or courtyard, singing and playing on his lyre, bow over his back and dagger in its hilt. More recently, he has taken up ownership of the Nook and Cranny, just before months long conflict racked the city.

"Other loves may sink and settle, other loves may loose and slack,
But I wander like a minstrel with a harp upon his back,
Though the harp be on my bosom, though I finger and I fret,
Still, my hope is all before me: for I cannot play it yet."
