• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I have recently been playing on other PVP servers which feature classes. One class which caught my attention was the spearman class. The idea of the class is that you have a stick which does less damage than an iron axe but has a higher range. I think this would be a good idea for role-play because you can now become a spearman and be effective. Also this would be a good weapon for poorer players who could use this as cheap deffence.

but, for the richer, they can enchant them and keep everyone far away with a sharp 5 stick that doesnt break. However, i do like this idea quite a bit, but perhaps with a bit different stats would be nice.
 
Maybe the shovel could be used as the spear instead? So a shovel is a spear and a shovel?

I agree with the enchant issue with this. But it could be limited so it would only do about as much as a sharp1 dia sword. Plus there wouldn't be MCMMO for it.

But still, it is the range i have somewhat a question with, You can keep someone in the corner and not lose a single heart, if you attack first, and it would make it harder for the enemy to attack back, because i may seem like someone looking for excuses, but knockback is something too. Perhaps it can give then nausea, like a certain % chance to do it, so the enemy can still attack and POSSIBLY win, but also so that the one with the stick gets a certain advantage to where it can weaken the enemy, without being overpowered
 
I've seen this brought up before & I think it would be a great idea, especially with the ever popular horses looming over our heads in the future update. Horsemen & spears pretty much go hand in hand, but what caught my attention was the whole sticks thing. I like the idea of walking around with a pair of Escrima sticks prepared to pummel the wrongs & evils that has spread across the lands. :P
