• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Alright I will start off by stating the problem than proposing my solution.

Problem: Chats can be very limited in game. Say you want to talk to a group of people in game but cannot be allied to them. There is no chats in game that gives you the option. As well in global there are a lot of shenanigans going on that really don't belong there and moderators are not always there or free to quickly neutralize the problem. Lastly there is the flame war thing which belongs in no chat other than private chat.

Solution: 2 new chats should be set up. The first chat should be a friends chat where friends can chat with groups of friends, that way there can be a possibility of a multi-person conversation in game without spam. The second chat would be Off Topic this chat is used for all off topic shenanigans and flame wars this chat would be un-moderated offer a disclaimer upon joining and you must join on your own terms. A suggested disclaimer would be like Caution you have joined Off Topic chat, this chat is un-moderated so it may contain sensitive materials. However just because it is un-moderated does not mean it is not recorded in the HawkEye database.

I actually agree so much with the group chat feature. Posidem, if you're reading this, this would solve the problem I told you about with local and Polaris.

The second chat, off-topic, I'm not so sure about, but I don't feel against it or supporting it. I probably wouldn't ever join it, because it just seems like an invitation for raging jerk-osity
