The Society of Elia's Vigil is a religious order dedicated to the search, identification, and protection of relics relevant to the Unionist Faith. While relatively small in number and strict in its admittance to core membership, its adherents are zealous, true to their Faith and unquestionable in their piety. They will defend their charges to the last, or stop at nothing to see them recovered.

Universal Requirements

Those seeking to join the ranks of the order will be put under a rigorous examination of faith and ability. Only those with enough ferocity of faith in their hearts will be permitted to join. Those found wanting shall be turned away. To that end, all brothers and sisters of the order are bound by these pre-emptive necessities.

>That one neither practices nor conforms to the sorceries of the Exist and Void.
>That one is not malformed by the mutations of the Exist or Void.
>That one is of stalwart body, mind, and soul, and is not infirm or debilitated.​

Presiding Celate
Serves as the guiding hand of Faith for the order. Responsible for presiding over the lawful and orderly conduct of the various Rights.

Keeper of the Blade
Executive defender of Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker. They determine where the blade shall go to best defend the interests of the Faith, in or out of the Holy City. Identified by their possession of the aforementioned relic.

Keeper of the Shrine
Guardian of the Shrine of Elia's Vigil. Ensures that the Knights and Footmen are of suitable condition to defend Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker. Managerial position.

Sworn members of the order. Identified by the gold chain around their neck, the links consisting of clasped hands.

The Rights of the Blade
┳━━━━━━━◈━━━━━━━┳

Chief among the duties of the order is its protection of Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker. In an effort to keep the relic in constant circulation, and to dissuade unworthy attachment to the strength bestowed upon Allest's Chosen, the Rights of the Blade were created to facilitate the cordial transition of the relic from Keeper to Keeper. Any Knight or Footman may invoke these Rights by public notice, after which the Presiding Celate will organize a time and place for the Rights to be conducted.

Right by Conquest
Might makes right. Defeat the current wielder of Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker in ritual single combat. The victor shall stand as its true Keeper.

Right by Majority

The voice of the people must be heard. If a vote is called, and a 60 percent majority votes for a new Keeper, then that person it shall be.​

Right by Appointment
The Faith has its place. If the Presiding Celate deems it prudent, she may select another Keeper of the Blessed Blade at will.

Right by Abdication
If the current Keeper deems themselves unfit for the duty, they may force the rise of another to take up the mantle and wield the relic in their stead.

In the event that Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker changes Keepers, no Rights may be invoked for 14 days.

In the event that Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory Seeker does not change Keepers, no Rights may be invoked for 7 days.

Willingly handing the Blade to a third party outside of the Society is an inherent agreement to give up kill perms to the members of this organization. You have been warned.

To enlist in the Society of Elia's Vigil, seek out Baroness-Celate Alexi, or Kopec. Candidates will be asked a series of questions regarding their history, their faith, and must provide at least two references to support their claims.
