Storm Sentinel Occupation of The Smoking Bull

IC Declaration
A crier would ring a bell near the front of the Golden Willow, crying out for all to hear: "Hear ye, hear ye! The Storm Sentinels have declared that the Smoking Bull shall be henceforth have any current residents evicted and the building utilized as a-", the man glanced down a sheet of paper in his hand, straining his eyes, "-a 'Forward Operating Base', mh. For citizen relief efforts in the local vicinity and to keep a tighter patrol on the perimeter of the infestation. Any questions should be directed to the acting Guard Commander William Arnyn for further information."

OOC Declaration
Storm Sentinels are going to be occupying The Smoking Bull until the crisis is averted and Citizen Relief Efforts in the area have been performed. These objectives and reasonings for this occupation include:

Mission Goals
  • Establish foothold in market center.
  • Regular patrol routes to keep citizens from wandering near the hole.
  • Citizen relief planning efforts. (Ration distribution, material storage, refugee housing, etc.)
  • Ensure the symbol of justice is maintained by the Sentinels during crisis.
This occupation coincides with the Storm Sentinel charter right stated:
- Right to force evict non-government/non-noble/non-religious buildings as forward bases and temporarily evict their owners/habitants for the duration of its use as forward base.

Furthermore, the Sentinels see no issue with this occupation due to the already vacant state of the building, and being held liable for all damages further incurred by their occupation to the building and its inhabitants (This being refugees, not the evicted).

Sierra read over the flier with a widening of the eyes, pushing her seat back as she suddenly stood.

"All of our stock is there! We have some really expensive imports in that shop.. and Greygate is right across the road! Why do they need somewhere else?"

She complained, voicing her initial thoughts, before she began to make sense of it.

"Well.. I suppose Greygate isn't the easiest to work in right now with the broken bridge and all.. but what they've listed for their goals seems to be what all of the guard are currently doing! What do you think, Monica?"

@SpunSugar

* A certain someone would listen to the crier and bells. "We've enough room at Greygate. However, I cannot make the decisions. If we need all this room, so be it."

Sadia listened to the plea of demand with furrowed eyebrows and a worried demeanor. "If they can do that just because they're officials, what does that mean for /my/ store? It's right across the way and everything in it is fragile!" She let out a defeated sigh, letting all of her worries out with it. The Qadir began to exit the scene, still quite anxious about the future of the square.

Monica frowned as she read the announcement, remarking to her cousin "They see no issue with the occupation? It's still my business, my money paying the rent. And not a letter or a meeting to even ask!

Here's an idea, instead of taking up time converting my shop into a base - fix Greygate. They've got some nerve to have an entire holdfast and still deprive citizens of their livelihoods. There go any thoughts of reopening this week like I'd have hoped."

Monica grumbled, turning away from the announcement. Tapping her feet nervously, and lighting up a garrette as she thought.

"
Get a piece of paper, Sierra. If they're going to take food out of our mouths, they're going to find another way to feed us," muttering darkly. "Count on it."

Erwin gave off a gentle sigh, running his hand through his hair and then checking his already depleting garette stock. "Well. I barely smoked before the Crisis... I suppose that cutting back a bit couldn't hurt."
