Hello, I felt the need to bring this up since there have already been whisperings of some odd going ons and a bit of salt around the Post-Ball Announcements, Found Here.
Essentially, all Non-Ailor have been made 3rd class citizens, and are able to be enslaved. Personally, seems like it will lead to some interesting RP situations, so no big deal there. HOWEVER, there are a few things players should probably know ahead of time before they end up in regrettable situations.
Firstly, the concern was brought up of player freedom, and yes, you can OOCly refuse to have your character enslaved if you want.
On top of simply refusing OOCly, you can ICly become exempt from the slavery law, By Registering On This Thread.
The next issue which I have foreseen potentially rising up is the one we all like to think never happens but probably does way more often that we imagine- Forced ERP, or rather, Uninformed ERP. It is possible, with the influx of new players, and those who simply never look into the matter, that a chunk of players are not aware of the rules around ERP, especially involving the... Slavery thing.
Even as an Enslaved character , you do not have to accept your character being forced into those things, and most ESPECIALLY you do not have to accept actually RPing those things out. If you are fine with this happening to your character but do not want to RP it, a simply Skip works. But you CAN refuse to have anything of that sort happening to your character flat out. If anyone attempts to guilt you into it by saying its part of the RP, refuse, and if they continue, take screenshots, TP out, and void it, then report them to Staff.
Just a few points, It may seem like common sense to most people, but I figured putting this out here was probably for the best, and that it might hopefully curb any of this mess for happening at all.
