• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

If you know of any that should be added, just leave a reply with what it is and what it does.

ECS (Excessive Character Syndrome) An incurable disease that results in someone having a need to have as many characters as possible, despite the fact that they don't get to use any of them too much if they try using the others.

CAO (Character Approval Obsession) This disease results in someone having a need to make character sheets for any character and they can't play that character unless it is approved. The only known cure is to stop giving a f**k.

CSPS (Character Sheet Procrastination Syndrome) Yet another incurable disease that results in someone to constantly put off making character sheets to later dates. When mixed with CAO, it is very inhibiting.

Edginitis A common disease that results in the affected person making every character with an edge factor (dead parents, abused as a child, etc.) While there is no known cure, it does go away with time.

OCS (One Character Syndrome) A person with OCS only plays one character at a time and will commonly kill a character off, or at least shelve it, to play another.

OLSD (Obsessive Lore Story Disorder) Someone affected by this disorder will often find themselves consumed by the urge to write edgy or, occasionally, enjoyable short stories about their characters. This leads to an often flooded story section and bleeding fingers.

Inactivus Inactivus is known for players who have gone inactive but continue to make character sheets. People with Inactivus tend to have CAO as well.

USI (Unwarranted Self Importance) Someone who sees their character at the epicenter of all events, changes and progressions, but is in reality just a background character that constantly gets in the way of people who are leading the story.

CBS (Chronical Background Syndrome) Someone whose characters always portray background and supporting roles. Not necessarily a bad thing, as some people quite comfortably choose to do so.

PPS (Professed Protagonist Syndrome) Someone who doesn't necessarily force their way into being the protagonist of role play narratives, but usually through their own actions ends up being so.

CVS (Clinical Victim Syndrome) Someone who makes characters that constantly get abused, beaten, verbally scolded or killed. Can both like and actively pursue this kind of role play, or feel trapped in it and unable to escape.

UCD (Unintentional Character Dissonance) A character which the player cannot accurately portray. For example the app states that the character has towering intellect over other characters, but in reality the player playing the character can't do the math tables of 10, so they end up portraying their genius character like someone who needs to go to elementary school.

FCD (Forced Character Dissonance) A character forced by others not to be respected for its design. For example, a player states "My character is a ripped turall bladesman" and others say "No, your character is a noodle bookworm cuck", and refuse to acknowledge their combat skill or appearance.

CCB (Compulsive Art Boasting) When a Player always finds a way to boast about their characters skills, or their art, or their life story. Anything to make their character seem good. This is exclusively an OOC illness.

CCU (Compulsive Character Undermining) When a player takes every chance to undermine their own character, or others characters in OOC chats. It is often seen as a subtle boasting if used on self, or just straight up saltiness when used on others.

OAHD (obsessive At Hoarding Disorder) One who is overwhelmed by the need to collect art of their characters, regardless of the quality or frequency they play their character.

AASDD (Accidental Anxiety and Social Dependancy Disorder) When an introverted player mixes up not knowing what to do in RP with not knowing what to do in social circumstances and experiences social anxiety. Often results in excessive sweating and crying, withdrawal into the OOC chat, emotional distance in characters, long pauses, dependent plot creativity and withdrawing from RP if no supporting friends are available. Can result in functional co-dependancy if two AASDD players meet.

FCDR (Functioning Co-Dependant Roleplayers) When two or more players with AASDD depend on each other to roleplay. As a double-edged mental disorder, without the other player they cease to function properly without a supporting friend. Can cause stress if one of the players does not have AASDD

Lothbroks Syndrome An ailment which causes an individual who has started watching a show and found a character so fascinating that they've wanted to lead an alternative life for the character as their own on Massive. Cannot be cured, however it can be treated with character development to distance it from the source material.

IDOC (Inaccurate Display of Character)
Someone with IDOC is usually a person who displays a character with more or less than what they'd actually have. Say, the character looks younger/older than they should, or the character acts younger/older than they should, or the character has more/less abilities than they should. Usually, people with this either don't realize they're doing it, or do it on purpose and deny it when questioned. There's no known cure, but it can go away with time.

Misconduct Syndrome
Usually, people with this disease are people who knowingly or unknowingly guilt other players OOC in order to have their way IC, such as, saying "my character is going to kill themself if your character doesn't do this." This disease has no cure is known, but it does go away with time.

Victim of Misconduct Syndrome
This disease pairs up with Misconduct Syndrome, in the case where a player too shy to put their foot down allows another player with Misconduct Syndrome to essentially control their character with the use of guilt. This disease has no known cure.

CRPS (Combat Roleplay Syndrome)
People with this disease are solely obsessed with the combat section of roleplay, leaving no room for developement unless it's more injuries, or more enemies. Usually, people who have this disease will timeskip through injuries, or have alternate characters to get into fights as. This disease can either go away with time, or be cured with the helping hand of a friend.

DRPS (Developement Roleplay Syndrom)
Someone with DRPS is obsessed with character developement, throwing themself at every possible form of developement for their character. This is sometimes good, and sometimes bad, depending on if the developement is for one's own character, or other people's characters.

TCRP (Toxic Combat Roleplay)
People with this disease never truly realize they have it, or just don't acknowledge it. Essentially, the victim to this problem will only ever thrive to win combat, and being anywhere but the winning place in a combat situation is the end of the world for these people. This disease can go away with time, but has no other cure.

VTCRP (Victim of Toxic Combat Roleplay)
People with VTCRP are usually victim to other players with TCRP, however, they don't fight it. These people usually shy away and back down from trying to defend themself or their character, and take the beating, allowing the other person to win. This disease has no known cure.

AFKS (Away From Keyboard Syndrome)
People with this disease are simple. If they are unamused or easily bored roleplaying, or grow impatient waiting for a Roleplay to finish, they'll simply AFK and wait for it to either end or get interesting. This disease is particularly bad, as it disconnects players from possible developement. There's no known cure.

Next week, I will begin hosting weekly support groups for other individuals suffering from CSPS. Free cookies!

OCS (One Character Syndrome): A person with OCS only plays one character at a time and will commonly kill a character off, or at least shelve it, to play another.

OLSD (Obsessive Lore Story Disorder): Someone affected by this disorder will often find themselves consumed by the urge to write edgy or, occasionally, enjoyable short stories about their characters. This leads to an often flooded story section and bleeding fingers.

USI (Unwarranted Self Importance): Someone who sees their character at the epicenter of all events, changes and progressions, but is in reality just a background character that constantly gets in the way of people who are leading the story.

CVS (Clinical Victim Syndrome): Someone who makes characters that constantly get abused, beaten, verbally scolded or killed. Can both like and actively pursue this kind of role play, or feel trapped in it and unable to escape.

You could probably infer a lot of adjectives to these.

Actually I just remember two I spoke about before:

UCD (Unintentional Character Dissonance) A character which the player cannot accurately portray. For example the app states that the character has towering intellect over other characters, but in reality the player playing the character can't do the math tables of 10, so they end up portraying their genius character like someone who needs to go to elementary school.

I certainly have CSPS and ECS, this is not debatable.

I probably have minor CBS as well.

CCB (Compulsive Art Boasting) When a Player always finds a way to boast about their characters skills, or their art, or their life story. Anything to make their character seem good. This is exclusively an OOC illness.

CCU (Compulsive Character Undermining)

What about OAHD (obsessive At Hoarding Disorder) for those who are overwhelmed by the need to collect art of their characters, regardless of the quality or frequency they play their character.

I don't suffer from this. At all. *Slides folder under the carpet *

I had to be careful when writing the character sheet for my Velheim character, I almost made him Ragnar Lothbrok in all but name, luckily, I avoided contracting the disease.

This sounds like a personal thing... do you have something you need to share? :)
