• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Hello, to anyone who bothers to read this. Personally, I would ignore someone who is just posting to complain, but maybe you will agree with me.
The limit for unlocking items and chests is about 30 days, which is GREAT! It keeps people online, or gives a someone a lucky find! This truly was awesome.
My laptop was dropped by my brother, and as it was old, I decided to just get a new one. During this period of not being on the server, I got multiple /mail's from friends on the server saying my faction would be deleted. Well, I was used to the first policy, ever since I first joined Massive. As I logged on today, for the first time, I realized what truly happened. My faction, at least 100 hours put in, almost complete with an large castle wall, homes, farms, a valley, and much more. This castle was 150 x 150, and a sight to see.
As I hopelessly go to the coordinates, I find all of the nothingness that was there, when I first started building, as it erased all of the terrain. Well, thank you for wasting my time. Apparently, I have to find another server to enjoy, where I am free to log on and leave, and build, where THE SERVER wont destroy them. This auto correction of deleted old factions is horrifying, and I quit Massivecraft. I will un recommend this to my friends (which brought 18 new people, 3 donators) and trash it on the forums (why waste more of my time naming them all). I understand, this is may not be the entire staffs fault, just one certain idiot, or a few. I rather, being raided for loot and diamonds, have my home deleted, and trees to replace it.

Thank you massivecraft, for showing me a great community of people, on a trashy server who could care less about the community, and only about players active paying you money against the EULA. Hope this was worth YOUR time, because it wasn't worth MINE. Pig Racing Champion, quits.

Just to be clear, spending hundreds of hours, on a server that neglects you is just bs, I honestly do not care what happens from here, as I will never waste my own time here again.

  • For non-premiums the default is 10 days before you time out. This is good so new players that join the server, create a faction, and then go inactive a few days later, their impact on the server is removed and allows room for people that are more dedicated to the server for longer periods of time.
  • Certain things such as time you have spent on the server (determined from first time you logged in) and the age of your faction increase your timeout duration. I believe it's an additional 70 days for being premium, 10 days for being on the server for a fair amount of time, and 10 days for your faction age, with the last 10 being your default, adding up to a total 100 days.
  • LWCs always timeout at 20 days, and are completely separate from your other time

I'm sorry this happened to you. Since you knew you would be offline for a fair amount of time, you could have considered purchasing a month or two of premium to extend your timeout duration, and all your items would have been fine. Since you also say you have friends on the server, a possible solution could have been having one of them that you trust with your account log on to it and keep your account active, or have them join your faction as an officer. On the topic of MassiveRestore, it's better for the server overall. Imagine if you wanted to build a new base somewhere in one of the worlds enabled with MassiveRestore. You would have clean and pristine area to work with, which is amazing. It's quite unfortunate that you have the attitude you do, but multiple announcements were made concerning the new way timing out works, and has been around for a few months now. There was ample time to adjust.

Sir, the server does not neglect you, we do care about the playerbase, and rather than having the whole map not restore and pretty much look griefed we are ready to use massiverestore as a good solution for the people to get a good looking map. While i am sure that your base truly was awesome and you and your faction members really liked it there is nothing that we can do about this, we cannot look over players who arent active on the server, i am pretty sure that if you really wanted to see your faction still running you would find a computer and log into massive from there to prevent your faction from being unclaimed. Since people still can claim on that land that your faction was in, and since it was not actively used its allowed as well. We sir are not idiot, none in the staff team is in idiot, we are all looking for the common best of our current active playerbase, thank you.

I'll be going ahead and locking this thread now.
This is not the place to air out concerns of this nature. We care about each member who joins whether or not they donate for premium has no impact on the fact that if a Faction does not pay taxes and build within a map which has Massive Restore enabled they shouldn't be shocked to find their build or Faction was missing.

Had you notified staff of you being not able to log in, we may of been able to put into place something which may have protected your build.
