• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

This section is pretty great.

https://forums.massivecraft.com/forums/regalian-staff-assistance.293/

Specifically, there's a section called the "Regalian Street Assistance" where you can request changes to be made within Regalia. This includes entire streets and blocks that can be given some renovation work if you can provide good reason for it and garner some support from your fellow players.

This is the first step to an initiative I would like to take, which is to give players a say on what gets implemented in Regalia. The city should feel like something you are a part of, and what better way to grant that than to place in suggestions on what gets built?

The same ethics of Regalia's building will still be in place. We can't make a district entirely for one non-human race, nor can we pimp out your specific house.

What do you want to see built in Regalia?

Personally there is only one thing that strikes me as off in Regalia:

The streets aren't big enough for two carts to go down at once in most places, even main roads. There was a gate into the city at one point with a nice open road- that was IMMEDIATELY made inpassably for carts by a giant pole supporting someone's balcony XD

neat I never really noticed this :/ Now that I think about it, there are a lot of places where carts are trapped :/

Here's a list of a few things that I'd like to see in Regalia (and by extension the Crown Isle, since with the noble estates and Rothburg I think RP outside the city could happen):
  • More ships. Regalia is always known as the main trade power in Aloria, and the superior naval power as well. Yet there are mostly Ithanian party boats and only one warship. While I'm not asking to add a bunch more rental ships, I think it might be fun to dot the sea on both sides of the bridge with some trade ships, dinghies, and warships (probably one warship further to the south of the river)
  • Roads in the wilderness. This is has started to become a thing, but I think it could still be expanded. I think roads leading to each noble countryside estate would be fun for those who like to explore the wilderness. It's not like the carts are going over mountains to get places, so a road infrastructure makes sense.
  • Open the gates. There are a few gates that dot the city, though only 1 is technically open to the wilds. It's a pain to exit the noble park gate just to have to traverse the outer walls to end up at the North gate. Opening these gates up might entice players to explore the wilds.
  • More "villages" on the Crown Isle. I see this extending to the noble castles than just plopping down a village, and thus not actually a suggestion to do ASAP. But looking down the future I hope noble players can start forming small towns around their estates, and generate RP from them as a result. The wilds have a lot of potential, and I think it's slowly becoming a fun place to explore when you don't feel like bar hopping.
  • Expand the Central River. My gosh is it narrow. And shallow. How that warship got into the center of the Isles is beyond me. It would definitely benefit to have parts of it expanded, probably wide enough to have two merchant ships sail side by side.

I low-key made a mock-up of this in SAI Paint Tool

I was thinking more of this area myself:

ooo I like that too. I always thought the river needed to be widened a hair bit anyway. Adding that and expanding the city itself into that area would be pretty cool for a future housing project.

We need more slums since you know...Those shendar...

I like this idea. I might fool around with something in the near future. However I believe most noble estates are fitted with a few houses anyway.

Lower middle class housing. Not quite slums, but not real, your average house either.

Definitely gonna keep these in mind. Widening the river, though... -shudder-
Honestly I dont think it would be too horrible. You could probably drain the water in a set area first to make life easier... Also depends on if the server has Voxel Sniper I guess- that makes that kind of stuff way easier lol (Iv had to do similar things when I accidentally waffled an entire ocean on a private server XD took like, an hour)

I would like to suggest liking the new sewers and regalia together as the old sewers are just an old vacant slum and people are getting confused on their compliancy

Remember when they landlocked Debauchery Island? They removed all the nearby water. Yeah. There were crazy lag spikes and it took the staff a solid hour or two, perhaps longer. It's gonna be pretty tough to do it.
