• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Now, I was reading about, and decided to get peoples opinions on an idea I had.
This may have been suggested before, but with the removal of pacifist, and the 15% damage decrease, I thought it'd be a good idea if, when in your own land, you had pacifist as long as you did not fight back.

This doesn't bother me too much, as if I get attacked, I'd just stay underground, but I really think it'd be quite a good addition, as it used to be everywhere.

I'm sure a few people will see the word "Pacifist" and instantly be against this, but seriously, I don't think this is too bad of a compromise.

Benefit wise -
  • PVP'ers get their items if they fight back, and they can still attack in the wilderness.
  • It used to be like this everywhere.
  • Gives the home side the advantage they should have. Not a combat one, but a risk one.
  • Could look away from the screen for five seconds without backpackin' all your stuff or hiding in a hole.
  • RP'ers could RP without having nothing in their inventory. [I understand people still RP during raids, I'm just saying that when they're not being raided, it shouldn't be a massive fear.]
Downsides -
  • Killing defenceless players won't give you their items
  • Killing non-pvp'ers who don't fight back won't give you their items
[[I'm sure you'll all be able to state many more in the hateful comments this'll probably receive]]

God damn, I'm gonna get a crap load of disagree ratings :I

...Be more optimistic, it's an opinion. Either the community goes with it or not. As for me? Eh. It certainly is different than the wall people think they've hit with this. Let's see how much people whine and complain first, then get to constructive thought.

Like your creativity but then nobody will raid people anymore, better off give both sides it.

Ok, so he's what I initially think of the idea, it may change over time. I personally don't like this idea. When people raid, they do it for loot, not just to have the pleasure of killing someone. With this implemented, loot will be very hard to come by. Now that everyone has a portable backpack, everyone can keep their valuables safe. The answer to this is simple, in my eyes: keep your valuables in your backpack, like premiums have been doing for a long time now. That way, if you die in combat, you won't lose anything you want to keep. So, personally,no, I don't support this idea

I like it that you're looking for ideas to solve this problem. I find it annoying too that I can get attacked any time and lose my stuff, even though I haven't done anything wrong. But this is not a good idea to solve it, I'm afraid. Why? This is definately a fictional example, since Olyk is peaceful.
Olyk wants to attack Raptum because for the lolz. Well, Olyk runs to Raptum when there is only one member of Raptum online, a newcommer, who isn't that good with PvP yet. Olyk kills him and takes all his godstuff back to their homebase. Eventually, the Raptum members are all online, preparing to take revenge. When they get there, Olyk is like "Lolnope" and Raptum doesn't do much damage except to their faction power and come home with no loot.
See where I'm going there? People will abuse this in coward-deeds. That's no good. Anyhow, I like it that there are people who try to solve this problem. Keep up the work. :)

Friendly greetings, Theboomyfly.
