• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Still not permanently coming back - Sorry about that.
THE IDEA: Play Massivecraft Roleplaying in VR during an event
Why? Because. Its Roleplaying in VR. The Immersion level should be heightened immensely, giving me the closest experience to being actually in the world of Aloria yet. But in order to do that, I have to clear...
THE HURDLES:
  1. Multiplayer + Oculus. This will need some testing because I have a sinking feeling the rapid, fluid head movement will be detected as some sort of cheat. I plan to get unbanned from Massives stupid competitor to try and test this part out, because if their Anticheat bans me I won't care.
  2. [SOLVED] Chatting. Originally this was gonna be an issue but apperently Vivecraft has a Keyboard in-game that allows me to not use my fancy keyboard and possibly break it. The original plan was to set it on a small table in my VR Playspace but that has physical dangers.
  3. [SOLVED] Rules Legality. According to the staff team here what I'm doing is 100% legal.
  4. Character. I haven't managed to set up a good Lore-Compliant Character I've had fun playing on in a bit. And setting a fully approved character up for a short return stint isn't worth the effort. I'm guessing though it won't matter who I play once I'm in VR.
  5. Mods vs My Hardware(OPTIONAL). Since Immersion is the goal here I want to have high-res texture packs and shaders enabled. I might need hardware upgrades to get the full effect.
At this time, I just have to worry about the servers Anti-cheat.
Once I actually clear the remaining problems up, I will be streaming this whole thing to Twitch.

I went on Massiveman VR 2 years ago with my Vive in my living room. Walking around in Regalia was cool, but it gets clunky real fast, and is ultimately just a novelty right now.

Main problem I'm having is that I can't get vivecraft to work. I can get it to open, but for some reason I can't do anything with it when in vr

I actually intend to RP using this is the thing. I'm gonna wait for an event for it.
The HOPE is that the immersion is increased tenfold. I'll probably start doing a Regalisch Accent on Stream lol

I was waiting for the goddamn ERP jokes to start. I knew they would.
I would attempt at it, but it would probably prove to be very difficult.
Typing with the VR keyboard will probably be like typing RP messages on the on-screen keyboard for your Xbox or Smart TV.
Incomplete technology
Minecraft in VR works surprisingly well from what I've seen actually.

Also I'm tempted to PvP in VR but the game staff here might consider that cheating, I'm not sure.

Update time.
I've cleared all the other hurdles but now there's the biggest one of all to clear.
While I can play Pavlov and VRChat for extended amounts of time already without issue, MCVR is a different story. I get some pretty bad motion sickness from that.

Operation MassiveVR was a success, despite some technical issues and me whining on the Vivecraft discord :P
