• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Yay another race Revision, this time a complete replacement!

Reason:

  • Ur had really outdated lore and were by far the most unplayed race.
  • Ur had a predisposition to be a powergamey race on account of simply being oversized and unbeatable in a fight.
  • Ur Lore in general was weak, badly integrated with the world, and hard to play in Regalia.
  • Ur Lore in general lacked creative vision
Links:
Effects:
  • Complete removal of Ur lore
  • Complete new implementation of Url race
Player Effects:
  • All Ur Characters are retroactively removed from Lore. (we just won't discuss the logic holes that produces)
Out of all the races, we (I) are the most proud to present the Url, in terms of race development probably the most "mature" and "professionally" developed race with numerous routes of iterations feedback and support from both players and staff members alike to bring alive a really well rounded concept. We hope the community sincerely enjoys this new race, and that they will get the popularity they deserve.

woah, I never thought minotaurs would worm their way into the lore

Why call them url though. Ur worked because they were "ur"sine. Url just doesen't make sense. It's just an added l.

While a logical statement, it's grounded in this reality. Binral is very much NOT the Milky Way Galaxy, and as such, the team appears to be taking less inspiration from real world stuff and seems to have begun taking inspiration from high fantasy stuff, such as worms that burrow into your heart and turn you into a bull person. By adding replacing Ur with Url, it disconnects the race from the Bearperson idea and makes it more unique.

It sounds amazing in your head, and then amazing again when you read it out loud.

Url look very interesting, I wonder how a Yanar would ovalate with one~

@MonMarty im currently collecting removed lore from the wiki, would you have any of the lore from the Ur so I can place it in my fac rp along with the Dakkar please~

I was fairly skeptical of the Url at first even hearing they had replaced Ur, but it seems the Lore Staff have done a very great job on this one! Great to see people playing them so soon after release as well. I'll miss the Ur, but I am glad to see more diversity in the roleplay, especially with the uniqueness of this race. Jorrhilid definitely needed another player as well.
Overall, Allar are fine. Probably.
can't function without intervention
And i'm sorry to get off-topic, but while I do love the Allar and will always play my lizard-folk no matter who or what they are, I do agree it isn't entirely enticing for many people to play a race that submits to everything and everyone, while only being able to do a few things 'well' that anyone else could do. While not being outdated or unplayable, it's a far-cry from what the Naga were originally, the conglomerate of various different reptile peoples with great diversity. (Come to think of it maybe i'll write some dumb post about it sometime. (Plz don't continue to derail this here like I have.))

Anywho, good job on the Url, and i'll love to see more very unique lore write ups like this in the future!

@MonMarty

If you don't mind me asking, do Thar-Url lose racial abilities/traits, even if they were not obviously magical in nature (such as the Qadir's honed vision and steady hands, or the Solang's strong tail)?

And the ever important question! Do Url have tails? We always want tails!
