• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Oh man it's raining revisions as of late. And boy what more do we have in store.

Reason:
  • Northern Screamers
Links:
Effects:
  • Complete revision of Northern Lore.
  • New Oldt Fayth Religion.
  • Expanded mini-self-driving nobility-esque-thing among Velheimer.
  • Aloria's first recorded Prophecy, which can come true in Progressions, woo!
Player Effects:
  • A lot of cultural changes. Like. A lot.
  • The term "Northern" or "Northerne" is not really appropriate anymore, but is still backwards compatible in cultural terminology from the southern cultural perspective.
Honestly, it's too big to explain, so y'all North-folk should just read it. It's probably the most expansive cultural lore in existence now. There shouldn't be too much character swapping to be done, we've mostly kept it structured in such a way that the old lore was still compatible (as little as there was), but spiced it up with a whole lot more content for a relatively popular culture.

I have to say. I love this update. Gotta do a bit adjusting on the 'ole char app, but besides that, I love how in depth this is.

I enjoy the new Gods yet the naming custom still gets me.

Questions
  • Does this mean all the northern terminology in other lore texts will be changed to Velheim? (pictures, text etc.)
  • All the 'naming customs' words come from Viking/Norse language, yes?
  • Balltarc, Seltai etc is now null?

  1. Ideally yes, but because the term Northerne is still backwards compatible, it doens't have to. I might instruct a Lore Staff member to do a full Wiki term swap, or I may not. It depends on whether the new culture is going to cause confusion.
  2. All naming customs come from scandinavia, but there are local variations. Baltic/Urgic/Icelandic names can still be used in most cases.
  3. Balltarc and Seltai are null. Seltai were quasi-inherited by Highland Ceardian while Balltarc simply lost traction because of lack of interest.
