• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

After seeing the number of people angry and exasperated over the recent addition of voting rewards I felt the need to articulate my thoughts on this subject.

First off, I'd like to denounce this almost comical assumption that people would vote without any rewards. On every single server list prior to the voting rewards we had between 23 and 2 votes total. Afterwards we have upwards of 1,300 votes and went from #27 for RP servers on Planet Mine-Craft to #1. If these aren't results than I don't know what is.

As well, many of the unobtainable items are just for show and provide an interesting aspect to collecting the whole set of a certain item. However, I do agree that something should be done about the Massive Armor and the addition of more rewards which is why I have compiled this list of suggestions and posted it on the forums in an attempt to solicit your feedback.

Suggested Rewards:

• Colorful Fireworks
Eman1000's shop has many good examples of some interesting and fun fireworks

• Funny Weapons and Tools
Comrade Cobblestonvich is a good example as its useful and funny but doesn't last long. Some other examples would be…
• BOOM Stick – A Knockback V Wooden Hoe or Sword
• Fortune Cookie – A Cookie with Fortune III that gives wise advice
• Paper Cutter – A Piece of Paper with Smite
Buffalo Saddle – Saddle with Punch II
• Agent Orange – Iron Axe with High Efficiency
• Twerker's Headband / Psychedelic Disco Headwear - Iron/Gold Pressure Plates with Silk touch or something silly. If you/hat them they look interesting

• Scythe - Hoe with Sharpness
• Bunny Boots - Leather Boots that increase Jump Height (Is this possible?)
• Pick of Pertinence - Diamond Pickaxe with Punch II or other random enchantments that are unrelated to mining
• Custom Arrows - Special Arrows or Bows that shoot fireworks or lightning or things of that nature. Not sure as to the possibility

• Useful Things
From Low-Medium Enchanted Iron Gear to Informative Items like Maps
• Map of Regalia
• Maps of the World Spawns
• Maps of Famous Spots
• Treasure Maps (Y'argh)
• Maps showing bits of a world prior to a release
• Custom Maps (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/394966-linuxwindows- imagetomap-in-game-text-and-images-on-map-items-experienced-mac-cc- developer-wanted/)
• Shears with Unbreaking/Efficiency
• Horse Armor

• Unobtainable Potions
These could be anywhere from Tier 2 to 4
Note: Some of these, if turned into splash could be OP in PVP so it'd be wise to disable that or make the duration of the potion very short
• Drunkard's Embrace – Nausea and Dizziness effect
• A Dwarven Ale – Increased Mining Speed (Haste)
• Blaze's Brandy – Lights the drinker on fire
• Curse of the Undead – Wither Effect
• Stale Ale – Decreased Mining Speed
• Eyes of the Tigran – Very long nightvision
• Blackout Brew – Blindness and Speed
• Honey Mead – Health and Slowness

• Collector/Roleplay Items
• Laura Redblock's Compass/Map
• Lore Books
• I am not on the Lore staff but items ranging from crowns, to jewels, amulets, staffs, fancy clothes, etc, would add an interesting aspect to both Roleplay as well as to the collection of these items

• Ultra Rare
Some of these are questionable but again these are just suggestions
• Some time period of premium, anywhere from a day to a month. Obviously have this reward be in an even higher tier so only one person here and there wins it
• Faction Advertisement. There faction would be advertised on the front page of the forums or website
• In game Xp. Perhaps you receive somewhere between 10-30 xp levels
• In game MCMMO Levels. I'm not sure as to the viability of this but a few levels here and there in a random skill could be fun for some

In the end, these rewards will not be game breakers nor will they lead to the end of Massivecraft as many nay-sayers foretell. So much of the staff's work is put into the bettering of the server but so little is put into advertising the server that I readily welcome this change. More people on Massive via these voting rewards and server lists can only equate to more people to enjoy this server with.

Good Day,
Bsavs

Feel free to leave a comment with your feedback or suggestions, but please ensure it is not flame-inducing and is constructive. Thank you

The McMMO levels is the only thing I truly disagree with, but as long as it is small and spread out, I'm cool with it.

I don't think anyone could have really said it better. It has the roleplay items I liked seeing, as well as the funny tools, it has things that are useful but not overpowered things. Levels will be used quickly, premium is a nice gift to players, a faction advertisement would potentially help some of the smaller factions grow... It seems entirely balanced, the only way I could think of people disagreeing with it is those who can simply afford the more OP items like Massive Armor and don't care for the game aspect for others, just for themselves. I'd like to see pretty much all of your suggestions implemented. Great job!

I do want to point out one thing
Massive armor and the new voting have been out for nearly a week
Cayorion just coded all this and now people are asking for new voting results. dont get me wrong i'd love to see this implemented, but if he does choose to add this new idea results would not come instantly or quickly

I still would like to see the armor nerfed simply because of the fact so many people spent so much money on a lot of it.

They oughta put you in charge of making the votes. o.o
Honestly, I would have the BOOM stick a hoe, cause a wooden sword with high sword skills and high knockback would be a pain, cause people can put Sharpness on it.
For some reason, I found I can't use Enchantment books on hoes (Which I honestly say should happen, that could make my next character's weapon actually possible) so they can be a Scythe.
And obvious, we know the Pink Pyjamas are OP. They're like, Godly. I would charge into battle with the thing, and even RP with it, sleeping with it is simply too low-class for such Godly PJ's.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on these suggestions, y'all!

Bsavs, I take back every bad thing I've ever said about you and would like to give you a cookie. It's one of those giant cookie cakes, with "Bsavs is Awesome" written on it. :D

Love it only thing I could think of would be special weapons like a sharpness Shovel called a lance or a sharpness hoe called a scythe. I really like the idea of interesting special little weapons like fighting with paper XD

There could be a stick with a random enchantment after every use. But always has unbreakingIII or V.

None of the enchantments are pvp enchantments. I think this would be cool

Massive armor will just be milked for votes, after Massive is high on server lists, a "nerf" will remove all the armor because its is too over powered.

Bsavs doin' it right.

I wasn't trying to sound like a Prophet of Doom when voicing my opinion about the new system, and I would love to see these rewards implimented. This is a system I could get behind.

Did they take massivearmor out or something? I came back on yesterday and I wasn't wearing a piece that I had on. This has happened more than once with things other than armour in my inventory so it may not be that they just removed massivearmor. But I'd like to not have this problem if anyone knows something I can do about it.

Sometimes shift clicking armor on can be glitchy when there is lag so it might have been dropped or something
