"She had tricked him. She had made him leave his old self behind and come into her world, and then before he was really at home in it but too late to go back, she had left him stranded there–like an astronaut wandering about on the moon. Alone."
― Katherine Paterson, Bridge to Terabithia

The faint creaking of the old wooden floorboards of the inn were the only sound that night as the small chi lady had come back from her excursions that day but her usual expression wasn't present. A sad frown had been resting on her lips as she thought over what happened that day, a pain in her heart from the words she was told.

You were abandoned? How horrible of a daughter were you? Was the only thing that hammered away at her insides at the moment, her feet stumbling and tripping on the dress that she wore. A broken mutter of a mix of Tatsugo and Common filled the cramped hallway as she moved towards the stairs to head to her room within the cramped and rundown inn. Her thoughts were a jumbled mess as she let the words seem to jab deep into her like a sword. With her mind in a numbing sadness, she'd push the door open and close it as quickly as she could once she was within the safety of the room. But it did little to comfort her as she leaned back against the door and slowly slid down to sit there.

That's called a whore by the way. Another comment that seemed to strike her like a hammer onto a hot anvil. She was not a whore in any means, she had just been offering to teach someone how to paint. Her knees would be pulled towards her chest, wrapping her arms around her knees as her head fell forward as she began to sniffle within the still quietness of the room. With a few more seconds of antagonizing silence she began to sob as various insults were thrown her way within her mind. She'd sit there within the room as she softly sobbed for what seemed to last forever to her. By the time she had stopped crying she had been sitting there hunched over for so long her back ached and the stiffness was apparent. The short chi would then change into a pants and shirt before easing herself down onto her bed for a couple of moments. Jin would slowly rise to her feet as she rose her hand to wipe at her eyes, her exhausted gaze trailing towards the window before turning to pluck up her thin blanket, the box of siggs, and her matches before moving to climb out the window and made her way off into the night.

As Jin's feet hit the stone she would carefully navigate the cold night as she sprinted through the slums. However her luck would run out as her foot cot on a hole causing her to trip and lurch forward, slamming against the ground as she winced in pain as she flexed her foot cautiously. Hissing out in pain from her twisted ankle she would slowly raise herself to continue towards her destination, limping. Not only was her pride and mentality hurt at this point but now she was physically hurting as she made her way through the various alley ways. As she slowed to a stop in front of the wall, letting out a pained huff as she limped back a bit before sprinting forward to begin her climb as she reached for a hole in the wall to grapple onto. She'd slowly climb up with some difficulty due to the bad foot before making her way towards one of the empty towers on the far wall of Regalia. She would ease herself down to sit against the broken and crumbling wall as she rested her foot.

With her fingers curling around the thin blanket, shifting her gaze up at the stars before her head began to lull back, closing her eyes as she fell asleep.

OOC:
This is just a little story I wrote after an rped occurred, thought it was just a nice little splurge of writing.
