• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Ever since the re-addition of the vampire plugin, I'm sure you've all noticed how many, many people have used said plugin, both role-players and PvP'ers alike. Something I've noticed is that some people get 'stuck' as vampires (Mainly newer role-players) since the introduction of Regalia V2 (As the previous had a temporary curing area in the Tavern). They have no access to a light altar, which is harder for people who have recently joined to create, as it requires a massive amount of glowstone, two lapis blocks, and two diamond blocks for the main bulk of it. New players often don't have many materials, nor regals to get materials.
What I am suggesting is to add a Light altar to the main spawn to prevent people from getting stuck as a vampire. This could benefit both Role-players and PvP'ers in my opinion.
  • When using the plugin for role-play purposes, it can be a hassle finding a light altar to cure yourself if a member of the Violet Order comes and cures you. I've had a few people PM me in search of a Light Altar as a result of this situation. Often people try to become a vampire from the start of joining the server without thinking it through, and only realize later what it takes to be cured.
  • PvP'ers who, if they used the Plugin for fighting got tired of it or simply did not wish to use the Plugin anymore can go to the main spawn and use the Light Altar if implemented. I am aware that larger factions can create an altar by themselves most likely, so this would be more helpful to smaller factions probably.
  • The main spawn would be a reasonable area to implement this idea, as it is easily accessible, and would not interrupt role-play in Regalia.
If you think this could be done in a better way, have anything against this, or if I'm just plain out oblivious and there's something already like this, don't hesitate to say anything.

The light altar is strictly OOC. If you're a vampire IC and cure yourself by use of a light altar, you're technically still a vampire IC, for in order to cure vampirism, I believe you need a caster level light mage or higher (nooooot sure about this one; I'm rusty ^^).

What I'm trying to make clear here is that the light altar itself and curings in RP are completely segregated. You can RP as a non-vampire if you're still infected by the plugin's vampirism-- it'll just be a pain ^^
Not sure if this has been mentioned since you said it. I'm not going to bother reading all the posts just to find out. But anyway, light altars can be used for curing IC, even though this only works for the Qan Ata bloodline. Light altars are also to be used for holy water IC. Although this may be changed in the future, as with the lore updates since then, it seems a little unrealistic right now.
