Backstory/Plothooks

Backstory Summary:

• As the fourth born child of Wilhelm von Karlisle, Leofric enjoyed the many benefits of the nobility. This has been shown prominently through his education. A majority of his education pursuits were of course militant as his father pushed him into the spotlight, involving him in many operations & trainings of the Löwengarde. Similar to his siblings, he looked up to his father's knighthood.
• Under the watchful eye of his father, Leofric would begin his training to become a member of the Lothar Order. Much of this was influenced by his cousin Volkner, his older sister Heidi, and some of the eventful hunts that took place within the Calem Heartlands. Due to the training already provided by his father's men it meant that he was prepared for the grueling task ahead.
• Leofric's focus during his tutelage as a squire of the Lothar Order was on vampires. The mages of the world did not catch his attention as much as the vampiric scourge. It would seem to be a greater possibility for his people to cross the path of a vampire than that of a mage within the Calem Heartlands.
• His squireship ended around the age of twenty, and most of his work involved hunting down beasts within the County of Hinterberg. Most of this was due to his recent graduation into Knighthood. During this time, and somewhat during his squireship, he would learn of the Schwaarzblutt Group. With his young mind still being highly malleable to the influence of indoctrination, he would begin to see the world through the lenses of this highly controversial group. Once he turned twenty-two, he began his journey to the Imperial Capital of Regalia to delve further into the practices of the group and to establish himself as a full-fledged member of the group. His true intentions have thus far been hidden from his family, and instead he has played it off as a journey to assist his cousin, the Count Kreiger von Karlisle.
