Skill Information
  • Abyss | Hollow
  • Summoning School | Necrotic School | Entropy School | Tenebrous School
    • Kathar power cannot be denied to them. If anyone uses an Ability/Mechanic that would force them to use Radiant instead of Sinistral Magic, they still use Sinistral anyway.
    • Kathar can change the alignment of any Spirit to that of Void, so long as the possess/own/control the Spirit. Void Spirits are always symbiotic for them also.
    • Kathar are not affected by the mental characteristics or changes of any Affliction or Affinity and are always in control of their own mind from them.
    • Kathar are able to look at a person and intuit their Corruption Desire, with OOC Consent (see below). Then, the Kathar can act towards this goal.
    • Kathar can use subtle vice-heightening curses on those within Emote Range, heightening their Pride, Fury, Avarice, Corruption, Rejection, or Hedonism.
    • Corruption Desire
    • Hidden Scourge: You can magically hide your teeth and Afflicted eyes. This breaks during feeding. If you have the Shape Shifter Mechanic, using this Mechanic while shifted makes you unable to Combat Roleplay. If someone knows your real name and that you're a Vampire, this Mechanic doesn't work on them.
    • Long Living: You live much longer than the average life span of your heritage. You can live up to three times as long, and you can visually stop aging at a chosen age (must be at least 21). Additionally, you are immune to non-magical diseases and Afflictions.
    • Sanguine Bargain: You can grant immunity to Vampirism to any person willing to bargain with you. In turn, if the bargained person attacks you, reveals that you are a Vampire, or reveals the deal, they take massive damage (discuss together what this means before making the bargain).
    • Mind Suggestion: With OOC consent, you can mind-trick Characters into doing your bidding without establishing full Mind Control over them. These simple verbal commands are undetectable, but cannot be more complicated than a single sentence. This does not count as Mind Control and thus Mechanics that provide immunity do not work.
    • Vampire Transformation: You can transform into a Vampire Form, which is a Monstrous form with a unique Vampire-themed design that you can create. This counts as a Disguise and a Monstrous Transformation (illegal in Regalia). You remain in Vampire Form even after reaching 0 HP.
    • Hollow Touched: You are touched by the powers of the Hollow, causing the Undead to see you as one of their own. Greater Entities and Death Gods of the Hollow cannot see you unless you reveal yourself to them by speaking their name or at them. Mindless Undead or Bone Horrors won't attack you unless you attack, and you may have protections against harmful Hollow effects or Magic during Events (at the Dm's discretion).
    • Free Walker: You are immune to restraints of any kind. If you are bound or shackled, they effortlessly slip off you. If you are imprisoned or locked up, you can walk through locked doors to freedom. Keep in mind, you can still be attacked while attempting to break out!
    • Emotion Sense: You can sense the emotional states of others, even when they are trying to hide it with their expression or body language. This will not detail why or how they came to such an emotion, you will just be able to feel it by looking at them. You can also try to telepathically heighten or lessen these emotions, though it is up to the other person whether this succeeds.
    • Eldergod Transformation: You can use an Eldergod Transformation, changing into an eldritch horror that counts as a Disguise. This also counts as a Monstrous Transformation and you will not transform back to normal if you reach 0 HP in Combat. (Monstrous Transformations are illegal in Regalia).
  • All worshipers of The Mortis Cult are granted the gifts of the Death Gods. These gifts mainy aim at making them somewhere between Undead and Alive. Mortis Cult worshipers can choose to be both Undead and not Undead at the same time, gaining Deathveil Mechanic 1, Deathveil Mechanic 2, and Deathveil Mechanic 3, but are not subject to any of the Undead Rules associated, meaning they can still use God Magic, and be Afflicted. However, if they become fully Undead, then the normal rules apply. From this point, they can be returned to this state of between Undead and Alive by sacrificing a single Static Divinium to cure their undeath and return them to the default state of this Mechanic.

    • Deathveil Undead no longer need biological processes such as breathing, eating, or sleeping. They are theoretically immortal so long as their body is not physically destroyed, as destroying their head will still force their soul to detach from their body and pass on. Deathveil Undead can live for hundreds of years, though we recommend a maximum of 500, due to the stringency of lore from this far back.
    • Deathveil Undead, due to their connection with the Ordial Gods Malefica, the Consigner, and the Machinist, are able to use Divinium to summon these entities, even if normally Pagan or Cult Gods such as these could not be summoned. In doing so, not only do they have access to the normal Divinium Summoning, these entities also double as having all functions of the Spirit Dukes.
    • Deathveil Undead do not need to remain bodily cohesive, meaning parts of them can live independently from the main body. This could for example allow them to send a hand crawling under a doorway which can later be re-attached, or an eye held around a corner to see. This allows Deathveil Undead to creatively interact with some Staff Events by creatively using their bodily flexibility.
  • Common (Fluent) | Altalar (Learning) | Daen (Learning) | Pannarokh (Native)
