    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward.     Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

How Bad Off Is Regalia If Your Character's Goals Are Met

The question is pretty much the title:

How bad off is Regalia (or Aloria as a whole if its that bad) if your characters goal is met?

Bonus points for more detailed explanations!

(Ill do mine first I guess)

Conf Ladveer: In his opinion, pretty good. Take over an Empire and its gets messy, but all things considered, Conf is pretty... Lucky... So he /might/ be able to handle it. For a short time. Once his Liberal plans begin to take place, the nobility would most likely rise against him en mass. Conf would offer full pardons for any criminals who side with him, including promising equal rights for all races. It would likely devolve into a war of the Nobility vs the Underworld, with Conf desperately holding the Palace. The Palace sewers would be tunneled into by the Rebels (Conf and his lot), opening it up to reinforcements, and allowing more directions for attack against the Nobility, and for them against him. After a few weeks of this, I imagine the nobility and loyalists would have set up a sizable force in Graygate, as that is the most fortified location in the city besides the palace. At this point Conf would enact a plan he has played with for quite some time, and he would order all the Stone Mages he has to collapse the passageways under Graygate, likely causing at least a partial collapse of the Citadel.

From there, it becomes even messier. Crime is rampant in the city, the guard forces diminished significantly, large numbers of nobles dead, as well as a large chunk of Conf's forces. Fortunately, with the Bone Horror incidents having recently occurred, no other kingdoms are in a position to fully take advantage of the situation and invade. The city would be quickly running low of food and supplies. Conf will have taken to hiring and pardoning Pirates and Smugglers to bring in food and supplies.

At this point, it is 50/50 on whether the city devolves further into anarchy, which is very likely, or if Conf can manage to wrangle control and order back into the city. If the first happens, the majority of the city dies from starvation and exposure and disease. If the second happens, the long, slow process of rebuilding would have to begin, which would cost even more money. Even in the 'best case scenario' for Conf, another rebellion by Loyalists and Unionists is likely to occur within a year or less. Given Conf's nature, he would be more focused on rebuilding and dealing with the thousands of homeless, starving citizens than with rebellion, and another hard battle would likely begin, diminishing the city even further.

Eventually, after several years, the city might finally be in a position of stability once more. The recent wars would make it a place where the ambitious and maybe slightly foolish go seeking advancement and opportunity, but few others would dare risk it. With the other races being offered equal rights and protection under the law- which is very difficult to enforce at that point- the city might see a very gradual increase in population. Around the time Conf is 50, the city will be stable enough to be called a power once more, if only slightly, and he will hopefully have an heir- maybe even his daughter, Fox.

Conclusion: In the end, Regalia is most likely screwed, BUT if Conf manages to hold the city after the first war, he would probably be able to stabilize the situation enough to keep hold of it until he dies of old age. Regalia would be nowhere near as powerful as it once was, and would take at least a hundred years to get near that level again either way. End results are pretty shit for the people in general, unless you're not human and Conf wins. (Even then its not great)
 
Im not sure if this is a Character Study- as it focuses on your character's goals being achieved- or a writing prompt since it focused on the effects of said goals on the world. so ima leave it as Character Study.
 
Ra'Kashiin, Nalani, Jude, Churel, Mien, Trashmouse, Xutha'ulg, Maeral.
Kashhin, Nalani, Jude, and Mae would probably get along. Trash sticks with Pig like always. Churel wouldn't really have anything to do with them, except maybe biting Jude from time to time because he's a vampire and Jude's a half-Shendar, so drug blood. Mae and Xutha would definitely fight, being an Avanthar and an Orc. Mien would do Ghor Ka things like eating bugs and biting her own tail. Nothing bad would happen to the city, lol.

EDIT: Read the title wrong. Thought you said how bad off is Regalia if your characters get together. Whatever, I'll make a new post later.
 
Ehh- This seems pretty interesting enough.
Jhi wishes for magic to be legal- simply enough, as well as to spread the 'Joys' of the void- And to help Usque to the best of her abilities- not so great.

If Jhi's goals were met- It'd probably be sheer horror out on the streets- magic being completely open and usable publicly- And Usque controlling Regalia- Leading to sheer mayhem, random stabbings on the street, poverty, Nobles being killed- as well as others, Void Possessed Individuals and Vilitatei running around openly as well- Without a care, Estel worshipers being killed on sight- as well as those who do not accept the 'Joys' of the void.

In Conclusion- Mayhem, chaos, destruction- would become Regalia- I doubt the state would last very long either, most likely would be taken over later on anyway- But, there'd be a huuuge death counter- As well as riots- city damage, etc.
 
TIME FOR A SECOND TRY
  • Jude just wants to learn more, and be more social. and also get a boyfriend but whatever
  • Churel wants to, in long term, start a Chyga coven. If he actually did it, he would try and cause shit on the surface, but not directly. Sending manipulators, spies to play with the surface dwellers.
  • Ra'Kashiin wants to lead a strong pride of Rashaq. Regalia would likely not be affected, but other Rashaq prides would.
  • Nalani wants to be filthy rich. If that happened, Regalia wouldn't be too badly effected. They'd just get flood a giant castle and swim around for all eternity.
  • Mien wants to eat a really cool looking bird she saw a few days ago. Regalia will burn.
  • Maeral doesn't really want much aside from fine women, fine drinks, and worthy opponents.
  • Xutha'ulg's dream is to become the leader of the Black Iron Orcs, then crush the Blood Clan until they unite. He doesn't have any idea of what he'd do with the forces of the entire Orcish race, maybe raid some villages or something. But nobody would dare step into his land.
  • Trashmouse is just an immature guy with a love for explosions, the bigger the better. Parts of Regalia would be blown to hell without a doubt, but he'd leave the whorehouses and breweries intact. Now his actual goal is to build a giant robot suit that can shoot giant bombs and run around with Streetpig on numerous crime sprees.

Lel and that's just some end results.
 
Honestly? Regalia would be much better off if Fyren met his goals; If he were to gain what he saw as enough wealth to vanish into a life of luxury, a boat would be chartered to Ithania and no one would ever hear of him again.

The thing is enough will never be enough for Fyren- not only because I want a reason to keep playing him- but because he's so narcissistic, greedy, and hedonistic that he's become entrapped in the lifestyle provided by the Usque Galenas gang.

Yes, such a lavish lifestyle has to be paid for by the coin gained from terrible things- like torture, abduction, illegal smuggling, and at this point even mass murder/ genocide (sorry, Yanar)- but it's barely even crossed his mind as a profession not worth the massive amounts of money he gains for it.

In short: If Fyren met his goals he would retire to somewhere far away and there would be one less genocidal Void worshiper in the city.
 
Nal Roh: If Nal Roh reached his goals (the new ones that will be made when I rewrite him), then it could go either very well, or extremely poorly for Regalia. Uniting the Dakkar could mean war or peace, depending on the circumstances. But it would most defiantly result in:
The Azure Order being wiped out/remade
Dakkar becoming a common sight
Becoming a mobile army, the likes of which have never been seen on Aloria before
A whole lot more violence




Ayahoshi Tetsume: If he reached his goal, you can be sure of one thing, the first thing he would do is become immortal.
What happens next is dependent on how long he survives. Either

He spreads the news of the new Construct all over aloria, and sentient life enters the age of immortality and power. And soon enough it would rival and surpass the Seraph. With mages who are thousands of years old, with archmage level connections to the void and exist, they would eventually re-inslave Estel, as well as shackle Beheasal.

Or

The Emperor hunts down Ayahoshi, demands that he become the immortal god that the world believes him to be, and kills Ayahoshi right after he does so. The following century would become a pivital point in Alorian history, where the Imperial spirit never leaves its host, and Unionism rapidly dominates the world
 
Tbh none of my characters ever have a world-affecting ambition. But if it was the Von Greif family, the world would be passing into mechanical age not unlike steampunk.

And Mr. ford would be having free access to any and every establishment in the empire- wait, didn't he already have that?

Saelihn: If her gang managed to take over Regalia then like:
  • Saivalthar Superiority
  • Magic Legality
  • Void Worship is the new Unionism, all other religions tolerated very minimally
  • Mass extermination plots to get rid of nobles
  • Followers of Estel killed on sight
  • Mass slavery of 'lesser races'
  • Basically Ani's goals since they're in the same gang and all.
Penelope: Her goal atm is mainly make as many people into vili as possible, and to test exactly what she can do with blood magic. And if she was as successful as she hopes she'd probably end up getting the sewers purged for blood mages again, rip.

Djenly: If she managed to get as much power as she wanted, and the emperor was overthrown then this stuff would happen:
  • Shama-Abdala is practically forced, Unionism and Faith of Estel tolerated minimally, everything else is convert or diiie.
  • Air, Light, Starlight, and Fire magic are fully legal with very few restrictions as long as they are not used to harm followers of Shama-Abdala; Shadow, Blood, Corruption, and Slither are liable to have the mage killed on sight; Antimages must be registered and drilled with the government's rules; All non-mentioned magics are legal but not to be used at all in public.
Eliana: Eliana's goal is mainly to become the wealthiest of House Fidelis, and to join the Azure Order when she's older, so it would have little-to-no effect and what effects it had would be relatively positive.
 
Nendai-Ki Henja: The Slizzar would actually go extinct. If Nendai-Ki got his goal of having influence over a powerful body, he'd use it to eliminate all of the Slizzar left in Aloria as an act of competition, starting with Regalia. This would either mean that people get really pissed, people are going to get really happy, or he will be killed in the fray.
 
If Alf's goals were met he'd basically be a super rich crime lord in the sewers. You need a magic tome? Go to Alf. You need shendar blood clots or some shit like that? Go to Alf. Maybe you want some Regalian Guard armor for whatever reason, Alf would probably have at least one set at this point. And then it'll be very anticlimactic when you see some very skinny guy with glasses sitting on some sort of throne thing. XD

Hey, he'd be extremely well-known among the sewer dwellers.

If Lucas Amalaos goals were met, there wouldn't be much left of regalia, infact, most would probaly collapse into the sewers as he would open up holes under regalia in the sewers, destroy support beams, and cause general chaos, all the while creating his own little fortress.

If Issacs Goals were met, nothing would happen, infact, he would just be left alone to study for the rest of his life.

If Streetpigs goals were met... Oh boy, he would rally an army from the sewers, attack various forges, arm the army, and go to war, either beating regalia and making a regime with so few laws that it falls apart in a matter of weeks, or getting the entire sewers exterminated in a loss.
 
I suppose Ulric Typhonus' ultimate goal would somehow involve ascending to the Imperial Throne to lead Humanum (In such a way that his ascension doesn't defy the tenants of Unionism, i.e. killing the entire Imperial family and everyone in succession). It's highly unlikely that it would ever occur, but assuming it did...

A near autocratic central Imperial government, with the Emperor and Chancellor ruling the landed aristocrats, colonial lords, vassal states, and peasantry all under an iron fist (Even the chancellor on a tight leash). The Emperor's Privy Council would be dissolved and replaced with a junta of knights and soldiers. Levy tax would likely see a steep increase, and both the Admirality and the Marshallry would increase in day to day relevance.

While certain sects of the Old Gods faith would be allowed to exist to retain the contentment of the powerful vassal Kingdom of Nordskag, Emperor Ulric, as head of both Church and State, would likely head a grand movement to eliminate heretical fringe sects of Unionism, such as the Vultar Heresy, involving a massive effort by the White Order and Imperial Regiments.

But ultimately, given Ulric's history with politics, it's likely that his reign would eventually devolve into Civil War with the State of Ithania, given Ulric's philosophy of a strong military being the best diplomacy. The subsequent strife would likely cause a cultural and economic cataclysm, as well as a loss of support from all Ithanian parties that once tolerated or supported him.

But really, who knows. I'm not good at world-wide scenarios.
 
Kaleel wants Qadir nobility. And to gain some powerful military position. The world wouldn't be that bad; not even that different really.
 
If Whitlock got what he wanted, he'd build a time machine with Seraph tech to send himself to the moment he arrived in Regalia, he'd tell himself to go home and then thwart the various evil doings committed by various peeps once he listed them all in the past so he could track them. And, oh, he'd bring a gun and armour forged by the strongest metal. (totes not terminator.)
 
If my room character for what he wanted the world would probably be the same he just wants to find prosperity.
 
Noelle just wants influence and a husband. So it wouldn't really effect Regalia all that much to be honest.
 
Armyn wants to marry a hot Isldar noble. Soooo. No outcome to effect Regalia.

Let's see. So Cecil's goals used to be pretty pedestrian; he wanted occupation as a performer at the Golden Willow, and perhaps most oundlandishly, he wanted to earn a 1st-Class citizenship for himself. He might have slit a throat or two to get that, but no big changes.

That said, Cecil's gone a bit crazy recently, and his perception of realism is out the window. So, if Cecil wins, he now will be the slayer of both Es'thel AND Beheasal. He (quite reasonably) believes them both to be dangers to Aloria, and more importantly, to his family. So, he wants to stop them, and for Cecil that means killing them.

So if Cecil wins, that'd probably be pretty good for Regalia-- no more threats of Void invasion, no more Bone Horrors. That said, it's probably not quite possible. Also, if he somehow did it, someone would probably kill him for vengeance.

Woodrow's goals would wind him up with a new body. This means bad for people he knows have crossed him. Honestly Regalia wouldn't be too affected.
 
I'll do about the two characters I played. One for a year, one for a day. But both are still part of me even though I left Regalia's RP.

Regalia would most likely be fine. Although, there's a straight chance he'll walk around Regalia in full plated armor, with the law's approval. That's probably everything.

Juliette Le Seur- she would have explored the whole world and probably be famous for discovering new things if that happened. She would only be really important to people that travel and stuff, besides that nothing would really change
 
If Regalia is anything like Portugal, then its economy would boom and crime and drug abuse would drop as Lorenzo legalizes all narcotics. Eleven slavery, abolished by the 11th Creed, would be replaced with slave-light prisoner labor. The colonies would essentially become independent in every aspect except needing to adhere to the Emperor's world ultimately. While Ailor, Elves, and Dwarves are respected, segregation-like policies would be applied to restrict where Dwarves and Elves can live and spend recreational time at, though their social and political privileges aren't touched. Qadir and Chien'ji would be the top of the "middle class" with Orcs at the center and third class citizens at the bottom. Any race under that would become subject to apartheid-like policies and slavery unless promoted into citizenship. Still, somewhat socialist policies would be installed for the benefit of the poor.

It'd be an okay place to live, but at the same time, not.

Oh boy. You don't want that.

Firstly, Percy's goals revolve a lot around his ideas in that the Emperor should have an unwavering amount of power in the face of the nobility, however a select few families and titleholders should be his "Middle-Men", who follow his wants and wishes, crushing the other nobility under foot to proliferate Alexander's agenda. The Empire could be better of for this, Alexander is an incredibly intelligent individual who, when working with his small group of nobles, could efficiently run the realm with minimal peasant/burgher chaffing.

Percy would also see a number of families who did him wrong be stomped out of the history books and hanged until dead, for his own selfish reason. He'd most likely cause power vacuums and destabilize the realm, choke-hold the economy, etc. He'd also. Send a lot of people to an execution block.
 
If Sariel's goals were met, Regalia would turn into literal hell.

One of Sariel's ultimate dreams would be to control Regalia and seize the throne for herself, and the recent coronation of Freya Lo has her determined that it isn't as far-fetched of an idea as she had expected it to be; it could certainly be a possible one with careful planning and utmost dedication to the cause. Nonetheless, if Sariel was to succeed in taking the throne for herself and becoming the new Empress of Regalia, life of the citizens would take a steep decline. Sariel, being greedy and power-hungry with an especial disliking for the nobility, would merely seize away any important titles and strip nobles of their wealth and authority entirely, turning herself into some variation of a dictator with more power, direction, and word over the rest of the populace.

Armies would be sent to mercilessly slaughter anyone who opposed her and her new level of divinity, namely the odd rebellions that were endlessly spawning from within the undercity. Any important figures of gangs or heretical affiliations would be imprisoned with a death sentence, their executions doubtlessly to be set as public shows on one of Regalia's most crowded streets to attract attention in the falling of a gang leader. Anyone who had ever disrespected her would be sure to experience the wrath of her cold-blooded and hateful revenge. Unionism in itself would likely be declared illegal and laws would face changing, and Antimages in particular would be declared an ultimate crime to be existing as one. Anything with the potential to dethrone her would be shaped as heretical right off the bat.

In summary, if Sariel's goals were met, nobility in itself wouldn't exist, she would put herself in the ultimate spot of power, and much of the population that had ever once opposed her would be slain brutally.

So let's be happy that Sariel is never going to be the Queen.​
 
Nothing would change. Trevor sees Regalia as a perfection already. It is his home and his heart, after all.

He would receive advice from his counselors and form his absolute decision.

Trevor's original goals is to become legitimitazed in his family. Once he becomes legitimitazed in the family, (he should've before), he will share his wealth with them. Specifically Madeleine and Rose D'Eluise.

He'd be a merciful ruler, kind hearted and independent. However, he's only merciful to races that look like Ailors, unless they convince him otherwise. However, stress will definitely cut his life short.

Unionism would be forced throughout the world more.
 
If Kasakir got his way, the queen would be kicked out with minimal losses,
Kasakir would be a hero and would be granted a position as a marine commander, all of the all dynasty would be wiped out and the navy would reign free. Most magic would be restricted but allowed.

If Bjorn got his way, Freya Lo would die as would all heirs besides Astrid, who would take the throne, He would become a leader of the guard and personal body guard to Astrid, (he has a crush on her) All Orcs and Half-Orcs would have full rights.
Almost all mages would be persecuted with the exception of those who were his friends.
The empire would become rather Xenophobic to all other races besides the Slizzar, Dwarves, Qadir and Alior and would ban them from entering the city
 
Beric Banastre, a long gone character of mine, was the more interesting pick for this, so I decided to throw him up here. Because character studies never die, unlike him. Rest in peace, or pieces, depending on where and how you died, my little Beric.
Beric was an ambitious man. Every time he dealt with higher nobility, he envied them secretly. Him getting what he wants would begin by propelling him into roles of power, such as higher nobility, access to the Imperial Court, etc. He'd monopolize a trade in the economy, so if he ever were to cut it off, the economy in Regalia would suffer from it in some small way. Moving on, he'd begin absorbing smaller houses and businesses, rapidly and aggressively expanding his personal power. All the while, his siblings and cousins would be getting squat. Marcel might be given a position of honor, simply because Marcel had never wronged him nor seemed like he wished to replace him (@BahDoctor c:).

So now Beric is in a substantial, and excessive amount of power. You'd think he'd be content, but he is never content. He'd try to establish as much power and recognition as that of the Ravenstads or Typhonus, and become close friends with other high nobility. Perhaps trading his siblings off like merchandise for weddings between the noble families along the way. I could only imagine that he would, in reality, flunk right here; as from what I have seen of higher and skilled, recognized nobility, they'd easily see he was an opportunist wearing a mask and cast him out. Let's pretend that doesn't happen, and he establishes some alliances. He'd have been in the Imperial Court for some time, as mentioned earlier, and would perhaps have climbed or created friendships. Then, with all of the power from his noble title, he'd attempt a sort of coup. It is here that I believe he'd entirely fail, but this study isn't about failing, so let us move on. The first thing he'd do is pardon the Imperial Family, and declare that their crimes were ascending the Imperial title without being an Ivrae. Rich, right? He would also raise up every bloody controversy against them in the book, and state that if we're going to have a Usurper family on the Imperial throne, it best be a good Emperor that's leading them.

Given that he's openly insulted the past Emperor and the Imperial family, people would likely be up in arms. However, he'd preform as many military tactics to assure dominance in not just the Crown Isle, but immediately after, the Archipelago. He'd quickly arrange a marriage with himself and a Lady of power in Ithania. Again, pretend like it wouldn't totally fail there. He'd have the Emperor locked up for some time, and the Imperial Family pardoned, but once they were suspected of open treason, he'd declare it and say it was punishable by death. However, any and every Kade he captured would not be killed, rather, put in comfortable house arrest. This would be widely known, and try to pivot to Usurper Beric's 'good' side. He'd treat the people by raising taxes but establishing a system where all small businesses are given a hand by state. He'd also make it mandatory that any wounded civilian is given immediate care, and if their injury classifies as likely fatal, they will get said care for free, so long they are First-Class Citizens. These would be done while a war was likely brewing on his doorstep. This is fairly good treatment, and all the while controversy would've been sprouted and spouted every street about the Kades. Perhaps a large portion of the majority would consider giving Emperor Beric Banastre a try.

He'd wed into the Ithanian Realm, and during this time would be taking practically any advice and counseling from the Ithanian Princes. He'd soon offer that they join arms, and create a much bigger Empire together, to prioritize culture, art, and progress for Humanum and Ailor run Aloria. He would likely, in this, no longer be Emperor Beric, but had certainly officiated himself within the new (Ithalian? Reganian?) Empire.

Beric is a mixed bag in all of that. He would cause war, the loss of independence for Regalian government, the almost permanent imprisonment (house arrest) of every noble that took up arms against him, a more socialist-leaning economy with extreme-cases of healthcare and taxes raised to make small businesses flourish, spread of controversy and disdain for the Imperial family. Although this is good for commoners in many ways, nobles and politicians within the Empire would be furious. Oh, and Henry would still be given the silent treatment, (@Cain_et_Abel!)
