History:

While not one of Regalia's most notable noble families, House Carwell is certainly one of the oldest.

The family can trace their heritage back to the days of the Five Family Rebellion. During these times the men and women of the poor farming family proved themselves as capable fighters in the Ivrae army. This is when they gained their sigil and words.

When the founder of house Carwell was assaulting on of the old king's forts he yelled up to the remaining defenders, ordering them to "Bleach their banners" to show that they were willing to surrender.

Supposedly they got the sigil of their house when a wounded sparrow, a messenger bird of the Ivrae army, flew to them carrying a message ordering them to prepare to help lay siege to the city of Regalia. The bird quickly died after delivering the letter, and the men of house Carwell took the creature as their sigil.

After the Five Family Rebellion ended house Carwell were made landed knights, and they remained that way for around two hundred years, fighting in almost every Regalian war.

But this changed when their liege lord died, leaving no heirs to his small amount of land. House Carwell was chosen to take their place.

They soon set about raising proper soldiers and building one of the strongest castles in the empire, The Hand of Man.

In recent years the family has continued to militarize, and now comes to Regalia to aid in the war effort against the elves.

Properties and Items of importance:

The Hand of Man: The seat of house Carwell. A fairly new castle made by Aumon Carwell. It is built on a hill and has five towers like the five fingers of a hand. It is surrounded by a mout said to be filled with foul creatures of all sorts. On the inside there is a well and even crops to feed the defends. They say that the castle has enough food to last for a decade of siege.

The Sparrow Fleet: Currently empty.

Heart Eater: A blacksteel bastard sword, passed through the family for years. Said to grow longer with the more lives it takes.
