The Seraph Ruins on the Continent of Cain

Subject Under Study
Our group has discussed the various speculated and documented locations of Seraph ruins and which would be the most likely to produce results towards our desired goals, and we came to the conclusion that the unexplored (and undiscovered) ruins on the continent of Cain would be a suitable starting point for this. More specifically, we hope to uncover lost information in regards to the history of the Seraph while potentially learning more about their culture, technology, and anything else that might be uncovered within the ruins.

Some reasons to select our group;
  • Discoveries of this nature could lead to an improvement in quality of life across the Empire if we learn how to effectively implement some of the ancient technologies of this race.
  • Seraph ruins are known to house Skysteel, a valuable resource that would of course be turned over to our benefactor should any be discovered. Our interests are in the exploration and discovery of ancient history.
  • The discovery of history not yet uncovered is no doubt an exciting concept. To learn more of this long-extinct race's history could lead to plenty of new revelations in a variety of other fields.
Hopeful Results
Our ideal results from this expedition would be to uncover useful information from the ruins that will prove beneficial to the Empire, whether that be the discovery of long-forgotten technologies or uncovering more details about the Seraph.

"The Influence of Seraphic Creations on Other Ancient Cultures and Technologies"

Thesis and Testing Methods OR Geographical Site of Interest:
To the Esteemed Membership of Gallovian Court,

My name is Leuthar van Vichten. I am writing this letter with the hope that our group may be considered for the Gallovian Court Research Scholarship. For most of my life, I have dedicated myself to the study of architecture and ancient material culture. Hence, I am eager to assemble a small team of fellow scholars who have agreed with the academic significance of the project we propose to you in this letter.

In the publication by the Scholar's Court Press, "Seraphic Mysteries and More" by Jacob Tomley from assorted notes, there is a mention of a Seraphic beast. This beast perished many thousands of years ago in Ithania, and was worshipped by the local civilizations of the time as a sort of divine creature. For this reason, I believe that exploring the ancient ruins would prove fruitful regarding the Empire's knowledge of not only Seraphic history, but also the Imperial-era Nelfin and Ancient Varran attitudes towards Seraph ruins.

Hopeful Results:
Fulfilling this research offers a few prospective results. First, by exploring the Seraphic site itself, we may learn about the ancient civilization's presence in Ithania. Though different Seraph ruins exist throughout the rest of the world, this is the only known Seraphic ruin to exist in the region. Therefore, comparing our research to other results from known sites could reveal whether the Seraph people were part of one world-wide Empire or indeed have sovereign kingdoms throughout the world. The second prospective result is the study of the Nelfin impact in the ruin, which could reveal what the Allorn Empire aimed to achieve with their obsessive research of Ancient Seraphic sites. Finally, researching the area surrounding the Seraphic ruin may reveal the finer details of the role that the Seraphic beast played on Ancient Varran life, religion, and technology.

I believe that we may reasonably expect to learn about the Seraphic beast that once defended the ruins. I am particularly curious of the beast's nature as a manifestation of ancient energies. It is my hypothesis that the same ancient energies may have been used as a power source by the primitive Varran civilizations that worshipped the Seraphic beast, and that the beast may have been slain during the Nelfin enslavement of the Ancient Varran. For this reason, my team consists of other professionals who are more familiar with technology than myself. This way, if ancient Seraphic, Nelfin, or Varran technologies are rediscovered, then we may be able to reverse-engineer them for the benefit of the Empire.

Thank you for your consideration,
Leuthar van Vichten

Edit: Edited to include two players I had accidentally left out when I first submitted this.
