• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Thump.

Thump.

Screams echoed in the streets before another thump. Crowds rushed to the scene near the Chancellery by the time the fourth was tossed out. On the ground lay the dead Duke of Feir Neghall, Uldred Kade. Next to him the mangled body of Arlesse Isabel Kade of Ytramere. Then fell the Duke of Eastamere, the Baron of Travalls. The citizens were confused, but by the fifth which struggled more did they finally realize what was going on. Kade family elders were being tossed out of the window of a high up Chancellor's office. Next fell the Baroness of Gueverise, the Duke of Medway and the Earl of Domdar. The entire crowd was quiet as body after body fell from the window above, a single scream brought out before that thumping sound and death. To complete the scene, a bunch of beggars rushed to the corpses on the street, picking them bare of their jewelry and fine clothing. The Duke of Feir Neghall was still alive, reaching his hands out to the sky as a beggar plucked his rings from his hand. Another jumped out, stabbing the Duke in his heart as he died with a pruttle of blood coming from his mouth.

The Ghastly scene was interrupted by an Anahera announcer from the window speaking to the crowd below: "These individuals have been executed in name of the Emperor and the Empire for threatening a rebellion against our fair city and people and Emperor! The Sancella has denounced them as heretics and traitors, and justice has been served on them!" Soldiers then moved forward, chasing the beggars off and stabbing the corpses to make absolutely sure they were dead. The crowd was then dispersed and the corpses were dragged off to the nearest river and tossed in, floating out towards the harbor. As the news had spread throughout the city, ships in the harbor left one by one. Some Anahera soldiers tried to stop a third ship from leaving, and actually opened fire with their cannons on the fourth, trying to sink it or at least threaten it not to leave. The entire grain shipment from Anglia had retreated from the harbors, and the bakers already knew what was about to happen. Anglia had effectively cut Regalia off from the grain and dairy supply from the granaries and storages in Axford. Regalia's bread shops immediately closed down, rationing what food was available. For now food was abundant due to the Winter Festival, but the city's storages would only last for so long.

When the news of the extermination of the entire Kade Elder Council reached the Duke of Castor, Reginald V officially announced the following to the people of Regalia and beyond: "We, the people of Anglia and those loyal to the Emperor denounce the usurper Andrieu Anahera and his wicked kin, as well as the traitor Thomas Kade for usurping the Lordship. We reject this passage and declare open rebellion against the Andrieu Anahera dictatorship to liberate the Emperor and the Empire from this monster." The Leberecht Duke of Axelland and the Duke Mortvallis of Tirgunn joined immediately, raising banners to the north while the Kade retinues moved south under the leadership of the seventeen year old Duke of Castor. The soldiers entirely overran the Ravenstad and Moselberg lands, which were only defended by a small immobilised force of soldiers. The rebellion host posted an ultimatum to the Ravenstad and Moselberg families: Join the rebellion or your lands will be confiscated as traitors. The Duke of Drachenwald van Dirkse and the Ivrae estates in Vixhall under the nominal leadership of Duke Michel Vixe of Loiree Bas declared that they were in open secession from the state for the duration of the rebellion and opted out to support Andrieu so long as Adelheid Ivrae was not home in Vixhall.

The border forts of the Girobaldin Lordship responded in kind by immediately invading Vixhall across the border, which was completely defenseless as it lacked conventional castles. The problems didn't end here however, as William de Montberry Durhall, Holy Minister of the Sancella of Union made a similar declaration: "The Sancella of Union is being strangled from within! The Usurper Anahera has killed the Supreme Reverend and replaced him without the proper convening of the ecclesiastic council! We denounce the puppet Holy Ministers and fight with the Helerian guard to restore the Church's full power!". He immediately led a banner to the monasteries owned by Droit a Gauche Orsa Medavinci, Holy Minister loyal to Andrieu Anahera, and started sacking the holy places. Helerian guard clashed with Helerian guard as the Church fractured between Healists, those supporting re-unifying all branches of Unionism, and the reactionaries who denounced such attempts as heresy.

The mess got even more complicated when the Grand Mayor of Lutherstadt raised the militia and a banner in rebellion against the infringement of the religious militias of Regalia. Vast tracks of Calemberg lands joined the rebellion until almost only the city of Calemberg itself was directly under control of the Typhonus family. A message was sent from the Grand Mayor to the Typhonus family asking for their support in the rebellion, but before an answer could be received, Duke Estovio of Montania crossed the border with a vast army of religious fanatics from Vultaro. They crashed through the Calemberg border forts under the pretense that the Typhonus family could not govern their own people so they would do it for them.

The colonies started to become messy as well. The Marquis Bancroft of a series of New Ceardian colonies invaded Mithranna owned by the Coen family, citing a pre-emptive strike against the pro-Kade and pro-Typhonus Coen family to be necessary to prevent them from joining the rebellion. The Coen force could not resist much and the militia was slaughtered as the Marquis's forces occupied the Coen holdings. Various colonial lords sent militia units to Regalia in support of Andrieu, however some ships mysteriously disappeared on their way when approaching the Rim Isles or the Medway bend. Moving in and out of the Archipelago became increasingly difficult as the Kades controlled the northern access points and the south were confused by the shifting allegiances, locking most straits and passages from any merchant travel.

The chaos in Regalia became so utterly confusing that even the rebels in Ithania stopped rebelling against Regalia just to see what was going to happen, because it became unclear who they were fighting against anymore.

For anyone who is confused OOC now:
  • All information is known IC. There is literally no "secret info" in here.
  • Dark Purple is the "Kade Rebellion" occupying the light purple Ravenstad and Moselberg lands.
  • Pink/Purple lands are seceded, but being invaded by brown Anahera loyalists.
  • Light blue is the "Basta Rebellion".
  • Green is the "Lutherstadt Rebellion". (without the Calemberg city itself)

Take that ya wife stealers! Rim Isles 4 life!

Posted cool informational image.

Like I said in the lore discussion section-- Regalia's theme music is absolutely the Benny Hill Song. Also, at this rate, Anahera will hold the record for 'Shortest Reigning Dictator', as well as 'Fastest Destruction of a Global Hegemony'. Don't crash and burn too fast now, I need this to get involved in noble roleplay! The surface has been fractured by all the chaos, and now I've got a chance!

Was expecting the dragon from before to pop up and wreak havoc on Regalia or something.

It began with the bells. Across the city of Calemberg, the bells of Holzburg Palace, the administrative capital of the House Typhonus, rang out through the afternoon as they had done for the Santorski invasion of Calemberg but a few years prior. From the Palace itself, a small battalion of light armoured pikemen, clad in Typhonus green, burst from the gates and began to take up positions outside of the rustic Palace, as a hoard of town criers took to the streets, pinning letters to boards, posts, and the doors of the Calemberger Dom. Peasants and merchants alike lingered closer to the letters, as the sound of soldiers marching in muddled lockstep began to emerge from the city's armoury.

-- AN EXECUTIVE PROCLAMATION FROM THE LORDLY THRONE --
In close tandem with the orders of the Lady Regentesse of Calemberg, Lady Treasa Helene Dietlind Bachmeier-Typhonus, I, on behalf of the House Typhonus itself, do denounce the legitimacy of the Usurper Andrieu Anahera, and refute his authority over the Lordship of Calemberg and of the House Typhonus.

Henceforth, in close cooperation with the Grand Mayor of Lutherstad, the full strength of the Grand Army of Calemberg has been called into mobilization effective immediately and are to make way to the nearest armoury to prepare to march south against the heretic Duke Estovio of Montania and his forces of treason and sedition, in defense of our homeland.

Death to the heretic dogs.

-Thoron Typhonus, Supreme Commander of the Grand Army of Calemberg-

Fei Zhao was meditating in the park when he heard soft pattering footsteps behind him. It was his apprentice, Tyran El Ghul. He fumbled with something that sounded like papers, and began reading. It was a report, excellently written, of all the events. Fei Zhao commended him for his performance, hiding his grief at the deaths of so many.
"We must take leave," said Tyran. Fei Zhao said nothing, only pulling out several carved stones.
"You are right, of course. We will leave, leave the city, leave the bloodshed here, and we will find the bloodshed elsewhere, and we will end it," Fei Zhao's words spilled out of his mouth as he clenched the stone tightly, and he stood up.
"The light will soon overun the darkness, for a door opened does not spill darkness, it spills light," he continued, this time in his native language Tatsugo.

Yeung Xiaozhi slipped away from the crowd, heading to his stash of emergency war materials. He prepared several vials of potent poison and stowed several gunpowder fireworks in his robes. He silently crept to the harbor, where he slipped aboard a leaving ship. It was a small, trusted ship, one that avoided the chaos in the rest of the harbor as it skimmed along. Some cannons along the harbor targeted it, but it was a light vessel and it continued unimpeded.
He would remain near Regalia, of course. But with such a delicate situation, with the balance of Regalia lying on the heads of untrustworthy foreigners, Yeung simply could not trust the safety of Regalia anymore.
Yeung crouched down in the cargo bay, wondering what would happen next as he slipped into a deep slumber.

Für das Imperium, kämpfe ich.
It was a matter of time before people came looking for him, Kristoph knew. Just like how when Gustavo was killed, he'd be wanted, just like the House he served. But this time, he refused to make the same mistake- Being caught.
Quickly, the man set to altering his appearance. Dying his hair was easy enough- He was blessed with having such light coloured hair. Aiming for a red colour, he avoided black- Everyone dyes their hair black when in hiding. Then, seeing as the colour was changed, he fiddled with his hair, settling on a messy style with bangs. The hardest decision had to be shaving his beard, but alas, beggars, or rather fugitives, cannot be choosy. Off the beard went, leaving the man cleanly shaven, and feeling exposed, almost naked without it.
The final change had to be his clothes. Ditching the flamboyant Typonus-green coat, Kristoph opted for a more dull, brown toned winter outfit. Light, yet perfect for the cold weather, the man added one last article of clothing- A green scarf.

Despite all that had happened, his loyalty remained strong and unwavering.

I propose we make him tell us the unladen airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow! If he doesn't know, we burn him! If he does, we burn him anyway!

Can we get a snappy re-cap of who's fighting against who and for what? @MonMarty
I'm not sure which lands belong to which families.

Pro examplo:
Anahera -> Kade
Kade -> Anahera

"-The colonies started to become messy as well. The Marquis Bancroft of a series of New Ceardian colonies invaded Mithranna owned by the Coen family, citing a pre-emptive strike against the pro-Kade and pro-Typhonus Coen family to be necessary to prevent them from joining the rebellion.-"

Theodore Artiemus would pace about his bedroom with his hands folded behind his back. He'd stop, facing his desk, a small, half melted candle sat on its holder lit. He'd bring his hands forward and lean them upon the desk with a long sigh.

Artiemus lands, under the young Baron, where in the New Ceardian Colony directly under Marquis Bancroft's control. This complicated things as Theodore had no intention for House Artiemus going against the Loyalist Kade Rebellion or their 'potential' supporters. More so, he preferred not to pick a side to being with, but if he had to choose, it'd be the Kades. Clearly, Marquis Barcroft had other intentions. Theodore desired to act on this, but what could be done? Artiemus lands were defended, sure, but not nearly to the point of stopping an army under Marquis Bancroft.

What were his tactical advantages? The terrain. Artiemus lands where in a heavily wooded and mountainous part of New Ceardia. Furthermore, the port areas of the lands were separate from the farm lands, which were also separate from storage making it difficult to contain all in one assault, which could hypothetically spread out invading forces. This didn't even factor Theodore's uncle, Hugo, who held nearly a third of all land in the Artiemus name, completely farther inland then the rest. It should also be noted the docks are set up in Fjords', which are easier to defend then a head on coastal dock. And if things got desperate, there was the option of unconventional guerrilla warfare. The land was poorly mapped, but well known to its locals and to House Artiemus, who also constructed a series of fortifications build into various mountains sides. Though not exactly impressive, the main fortification of this type was not to be underestimated, as this was designed and built under Theo's father, Alaric, many years ago.

This, however, was all hypnotically. Never hurts to put thought on a potential matter. It'd be a losing fight from the start, meant to sustain a guerrilla campaign rather than a conventional one. Theodore was stuck in Regalia anyways. Better to just stay under the radar and let things go their way for now, and continue his life as someone who seems prefers neutrality. As for later, that all depends on the situation, its openings and opportunities presented, and just exactly what Theodore planned to do with them.

OOC: Welp, I was just finding that part with the colonies particularly interesting and then 20 minutes latter, had this written up...

I was bored.

I'm a writer, what can I say? xD

This is all what is running through Theo's mind at that particular moment, so only he'd know of this. As far as everyone else is concerned, which people usually forget he's around anyways; he's unchanged, still same old childish Tee-oh, Baron and Guard Recruit.
