• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Flora And Mundane Fauna Done

What three things do you feel that the Lore Team should maybe focus on writing/adding to next?

Over four years ago, MonMarty posted the Animals page with a list of both written and unwritten animals in a variety of categories. These were the first Fauna prompts, and soon, they were joined by Flora prompts. Ever since then, the Lore Team and the playerbase has worked to complete this list of creatures and plants that fill the world of Aloria on the many different continents. Today, I am happy to officially announce that we have finished writing all Flora prompts and all mundane Fauna prompts.

Wait, "mundane" Fauna?
Yes. The Fauna page technically also includes a range of magical creatures, the various Magus and the Dragons, which we have not written yet for a variety of reasons. Despite them still going unwritten, all other pages are done. Hence why we are declaring the completion of all mundane Fauna?

What does this mean?
Well, it means that the Lore Team has just passed a major milestone. Out of all the content on the Wiki, the once literal hundred or so prompts in these two categories were major workloads. With all of these prompts complete, the sections are now much more open to new submissions, but also help to set the backdrop to RP, character interests or character backstories. With this out of the way, staff are more likely to be able to focus on other areas of the Wiki to create content in.

New submissions?
While these sections are "done", they are not to be left forever untouched. There are definitely out of date lore pages in them still, and there are areas with limited or lacking representation in both Flora and Fauna. So, both Flora and Fauna will remain open areas for new player submissions for new creations. When players make content for these areas, they will need to be careful and check beforehand that their plant or animal suggestion doesn't already exist in the lore or doesn't already share a certain niche with an existing creation. Additionally, players can ask to update certain old or out of date pages. Further information on submissions and more will be available on the Player Writing Prompts thread section itself.

In a final few words, I thank everyone who has helped to bring these sections to fruition: the former Lore Team members for their past work, current Lore Team members for their efforts in this final push and in all pushes before this and, the players, for their prompt writing and unique additions to the Lore. I deeply look forward to our work on other sections.
