• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Reintroduce Fishing

Fishing was very popular when it was first introduced, as it offered a peaceful alternative to PvPing for rewards and likely attracted grinders and builders. However, it has since been removed. If it were to be reintroduced, it could provide an alternative way to earn rewards in the Darkworld, helping to attract more players to factions and the Darkworld.

To make fishing more appealing, the reward system would need to be upgraded, similar to the rewards for farming the Orcs. Instead of just rewarding fishing equipment, additional incentives tied to dubloons, such as Mending, Lore, vouchers, and other valuable rewards should be introduced.

Suggestions for Rewards
  • Master Wand of Seas – A wand that grants users mastery over the sea (requires no fuel).
  • Mending Gear:
    • Mending Sword, Axe, Bow, Fishing Rod (Upgraded Fishing Enchants)
    • Shovel (Haste II, same as Orc Pickaxe – practical for breaking underwater blocks).
  • Mending Armor
    • Possible additional enchantments:
      • Depth Strider IV
      • Permanent Water Breathing
      • Permanent Night Vision
      • Resistance I (While in water)
  • Everlasting Cooked Fish (Darkworld Only)

Please consider these changes. Also, the buffs from eating fish no longer work in the Darkworld which was useful for grinding.

Yeah, I really think Darkworld needs to be restored to it's former glory, and fishing was a big part of that. There is also the Void Onslaught but that's it's own conversation.
A mending fishing rod would be a great survival reward for darkworld fishing, I'm sure you (staff) can dream up some other cool rewards :) .
There is also an opportunity to create a new aquatic boss mob that requires a key you can only get from purchasing it with dabloons. You could make a boss which is a giant squid or another aquatic creature, mythical or not.
There are lots of things that can be built from fishing, please work to restore it's functionality.

Fishing was removed due to its various issues, a bug we could not fix that originated from MythicMobs itself, and players abusing the unintentionally high spawn rates to farm rewards without reporting the issue until it had an impact on server performance.

If it were to be reintroduced,
It will be.

Internally, we've been evaluating what suitable rewards are for activities anyone can do at any time. While we will update the drop table and its mechanics, we probably won't introduce enchanted tools and/or mending gear. This is subject to change.
