• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

It was early in the morning on the 26 of February. The many citizens of Regalia were awakened by the rumbling sound of cannon fire on the walls. The cannon fire was few and short in between, and eventually it ceased altogether. Then the silence made way for the sound of footsteps on pavement, marching in perfect unison. Any citizen that opened the doors or windows would be greeted by columns of Qadir marching down the main avenues towards the key points around the city. The ocean was filled with a sea of red sailed ships unloading troops onto the Imperial City. The movement in the city came as sudden as it was unsuspected. The citizens of the Imperial city had always felt safe knowing the Imperial fleet was there to keep them safe. What had happened to the Imperial fleet?

_____________________________________________________________

Hours before the final invasion, Qadir ships engaged the Regalian blockade on the Rim Isles, though there was something off about the battle. The Qadir ships were small, barely manned and mostly skirted around the Regalian battle lines, choosing not to directly engage them. As time passed, the Regalian ships formed clusters of defensive positions expecting a serious engagement, which simply never came. Drawing this out for nearly an hour, the Regalians became restless and still no movement came from the Qadir. This was until near simultaneous explosions lit up Regalian warship one by one. Like a massive orchestra of explosions ships started going up one by one, others catching fire or simply being blasted apart from the sheer violent explosions of the gunpowder storage of the other ships. The sky turned black from the smoke that was now towering its way to the clouds, as the Imperial battle fleet made its way to the bottom of the narrow sea. Seen from the shorelines of the Rim Isles, it was like a sea of fire floating in the distance, a yellow glow consuming the very strength of the Empire.

Blocked-1.png

Complacency had defeated the Imperial fleet from the bottom up, quite literally. As the Qadir marched into the city, it became clear they had help from the outside, both to open the city gates, as well as the defeat of the Imperial fleet. Southern tribes of Maiar had aligned themselves with the Qadir for something as simple as gold. They made small holes in the ships while the Qadir ships circled them, depositing glyphed runes into the hull which had been prepared by the Qadir fire mages earlier. When the command was given, they all simultaneously casted fire breath on the runes, causing fire to surge through the inside of the Regalian war fleet. The loss of life on the fleet was colossal, carrying the vast majority of the Landwehr and Milizen. The city itself proved almost defenseless against the massive Qadir fleet. Some brave soldiers chose to mount the walls and fire cannons at the approaching ships, but they too eventually surrendered as their ammunition ran low when only the first ships arrived. The gates had been opened from the inside. Despite Regalia's many attempts to secure traitors before the war would come to a conclusion, finding traitors in a city of 4 million had been nearly impossible. On the eve of the invasion, many pro-Qadir forces broke their way through the Violet Order who were still defending the city and opened the gates from the inside.

Around noon, the Imperial Capital had officially fallen to the Qadir, the locals chose not to further resist the invasion in fear of causing a bloodbath among the defenseless civilians, and the majority of the weapons and armories were rounded up and closed by the Qadir. The Regalian prison was broken open and all Qadir prisoners were immediately released with a heavy coin purse to boot. The Azure order tower was closed down and evacuated. The Imperial palace was closed, though the Qadir found little worth looting in there as the entire Imperial Administration had already emptied the halls. Various noble families found themselves ousted from the archipelago, several announcements were made and the people were informed that they were now the subject of the Qadir Pashah. The Pashah's second wife, Pashawa Esfihani Kinya Bireh was to become the city's official administrator in his name, and started issuing decrees when the Regalian Flags were still hanging from the citywalls.

The direct consequences of this invasion IC:
  • The Qadir are now in control of the Imperial city. Qadir are elevated to first class citizens while Ailor become second class citizens along with Dwarves, Ch'ien-ji and Elves, and everything else loses citizenship rights.
  • Slavery is declared legal in Regalia. Prisoners and criminals may be enslaved by the Qadir slavers.
  • Kleinfolk are classified as rodents again, being banned from entering public buildings and banned from owning property in Regalia.
  • The Orc pacifist law is lifted, though weapon ownership is still illegal in Regalia.
  • The Kade family is declared outlaw and will be executed on sight.
  • The prisoners who were lost at the battles in the Rim Isles are all released in Regalia proper. Ulric Typhonus is forced to sign a surrender treaty giving all the lands to the Qadir, though obviously nobody believes this document and most local administrations continue to ignore it. The Qadir are unable to press beyond the Imperial capital at this stage.
  • Every noble family that has fled the city is declared outlaw and to be arrested on sight. Every noble family who has not fled is required to pledge loyalty to the Qadir trough letter to the Pashawa or face expulsion.
  • Every non Qadir character can no longer leave or enter the Imperial City.
  • The Azure Order is disbanded. Qadir may use magic freely and are not required to wear a collar. Any other race person that is magical must wear the collar, and if found using magic, is to be executed on sight (though the Azure order sight mages are gone now, so magic users wont be detected unless they cast in broad daylight in the street).
  • The vast majority of the Orcs in the city is shipped off to slavery in the Qadir homeland (this will not affect PC characters, it just said that nearly 90% of the Orc population in Regalia was enslaved).
  • The Qadir will re-shuffle the nobility of the Regalian Empire once they feel satisfied with the amount of pledges they have received.
  • Shambala becomes the state religion. Unionism is still legal, but all houses for worship are closed and the Qadir start instructing reluctant priests and traitors to prolethize the belief that the Qadir Pashah is the true Imperial Spirit, which is the physical embodiment of the sun.
  • Much of the Violet Order is replaced with Qadir, though the service continues to function in the city.
Disclaimer: We are aware this might seem incredibly anticlimactic. We were forced to take this choice after much consideration, as Minecraft itself is unable to handle a massive battle event with 400+ players right now, as we have all seen during the last MrsBaver event. We hope players will enjoy the new roleplay scenario that will officially go into effect at 20:00 GMT, after which the Regalian flags will be taken down.

Enslavement...
Try it, but the folk will fight against it!
We will show that we want to protect our homes!

So does that mean All the non classed citizens are subject to immediate slavery?

Hah, as a level 0 class nothing naylar, I experienced no negative effects during all this. >D

Not even the soothing warmth of the sun nor the serene countryside could calm the Typhonus as he sat in the majestic villa of the Sun Isles. As he sat in a carved wooden chair at his desk, fingers trailing over a grisly jagged scar on his forearm attained from the last failure, Maximilian Typhonus could not have held a greater and heavier burden. As stated on the parchment before him, the holy city had fallen. Holy city? No, for the Qadir had marched through its opulent streets and desiccated all that was and made the Empire and rendered it to be a mockery, a weakened and distraught husk of the once-magnificent Regalia. Knowledge of the Kade punition, furthered by the harrowing news of the Imperial Fleet's loss brought a gaze of saddened desolation to the Typhonus's emerald eyes.

He felt his father's familiar yet rough grip on his shoulder, and thus turned to stare at his older counterpart. Calemberg and all associated lands were to be no longer theirs-- Ulric was still entrapped in imprisonment by the Darkskins, his family were meaningless, and no more could he stride with pleasure within the once-Empire he had loved so. Where would they go, and what would his family do now? He assessed his titles, dabbing at the inkpot with a quill before angrily scrawling upon a bare scrap of parchment: Maximilian Caius Typhonus, once-Earl of Bornholm, Officer of a fallen fleet, outcast.

As the cannons rang, Roxanne knew it was coming. She immediately rushed towards the Scholar's court without any preparation, calling out workers and scholars together to find a way to protect their tomes. As the cannons stopped in the middle of her speech she begrudgingly accepted it was too late to evacuate. Pacing her feet around she finally came to a dire decision of taking every valuable documents to the archives then closing the door and bar it off with some heavy shelves. She then sent some workers to sneak out and take her belongings along with provisions to the archives, to the blazing void with the brownskins, if they dare touching her tomes and scrolls they will do it over her dead body. She then wrote a letter sent with a courier to find and send to the other Lamperouges in the city telling them of her situation, as well as trying to figure out what to do. And fast. If they are even alive that is. @Doc_Cantank @SupremeCripple @Zero_00

Mariana was awoken by the shockwave of the cannon fires. She was near the gates when the qadirs marched in. Horrified, she slinked back to the inner parts of the city intending to stay away from them as far as she could. But soon she came to realization that they really took over the city. The girl took a deep breath, lowered her head down, and continued living on with the hopes that she wouldn't be taken as a slave. Now she really regrets the idea of coming to this city, should've listened to father...

Ricardo and Nicolas turned to each others with ear to ear grins, as Ricardo had just got out of jail and they even managed to evade the attack in time. And suddenly the two bursted into huge laughter, jumping and hugging each others in joy. Singing some celebration songs and opening champaignes to their fortunate escape. Screw the violet order! Screw the fahleins in the stinky sewers! Screw Regalia! Screw this sh** we're getting out of here!

Teresa's eyes widened in horror as the news reached her ears (for about a week later, or longer). She asked the captain of the observing airship again and he confirmed it, claiming he saw the qadirs marching into the city with little resistance. The tiny lady threw a brief fit of rage about why the captain didn't assist the city only to be reminded that she ordered him not to interfere and only watch from a safe distance. She fell silent and looked out of the window nervously, Rythian... Rythian didn't leave the city! Will he be okay? Please gods let him be okay. Teresa quickly pulled a parchment and ink well to her desk, plucking the pen from her headband and jotting down her letter and handing it to an assistant. To be sent to her husband by a travelling pigeon. @Artemis_Hanzo

HOUSE BLACK
[[co-written with @Terradax65]]

Today seemed to be the hottest day in the late winter yet for House Black, as the sun's rays seeped under the dark garments upon Christopher's back. With the booms of the cannon fire and sweat dripping from his forehead, he rushed, pulling along a passenger, her hand in his, followed closely by the household staff. Knowledge of the Qadir invading the city had reached the Blacks as the foul-playing sun worshippers entered the once Holy city of Regalia. Thus, the family retreated, for now, descending into the sewers of Regalia with one careful foot in front of the other. With fury in his heart, Christopher had left a simple note on the desk of his study to be delivered to the Pashawa. It was written on an expensive, homemade paper in jet-black ink, sealed within an envelope bearing the House Black sigil, and read:

Amongst the chaos of the previously already chaotic city of Regalia, Lucrezia and Caterina stood in a position surrounded by filthy Qadir that they never thought they'd ever have to face. Upon glancing to each other for a matter of moments, they already knew. For the next period of time, for however long they would be stranded within the horrors within the once beautiful city that now appeared so dimly lit and hardly as beautiful as Caterina's memory had ever seemed to once be.

There was lots of yelling at them. Apparently, among Qadir, they liked knowing they were better. They had something in common with Caterina. Her right eye twitched. Frankly, Caterina couldn't understand half the things they were saying. The Qadir had a strange accent, and she had thought she heard it all. They droned on and on, different octaves and pitches crashing into one another and sounding like an orchestra that had no training in any sense. Really, Lucrezia and Caterina glanced to each other a few times and tried to keep from laughing- the only thing that brought herself back to reality was the filthy hand that tried to pull rings off of her left hand, making her grip her own hand to keep the filth from doing so as Caterina then made mild attempt to pay attention.

When a paper was motioned to with a quill and inkwell next to it, Caterina read over it first. She didn't want Lucrezia to sign away something important because she was worried for the Empire. Of course, the document really did say in black and white with the rudimentary attempt of flowery wording, that Lucrezia Floriani and Caterina Floriani were pledging their allegiance to the Qadir. With the utmost posture, it appeared as though the entire world had stilled whilst Lucrezia signed the paper. The smirk that took the Qadir on the opposite side of the table's face when Caterina signed, shortly after, was sickening. Alas.. They both had signed. Though they knew. They knew.

"Non potrà mai cedere."

Tim was still trapped in a cage, and had no idea what's going on outside.

Nathan ran into his house, looking VERY VERY VERY VERY mad. Roark looked at him with curiousity, before Nathan slammed his fist on a table so hard it broke his hand. "GOD DAMN IT GOD DAMN IT GOD DAMN IIIITTTTT!!!! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!! MY GOD DAMN HAND OWWWW!!" He yelled, before sitting down. "What the f***, Taylor? What's going on?!" Roark exclaimed in surprise, staring at Nathan. "Qadir overtook the city." Nathan replied, still very unhappy. "I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD'VE MOVED OUR RESEARCH OUT OF THE ARCHIPELAGO YOU F***ING IDIOT!!!!!! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN I'VE HEARD FIFTY-THOUSAND TIMES THE SULTANATE'S ARMY IS THREE GOD DAMN TIMES REGALIA'S ARMY!!! I TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS SO MAN-" "SHUT UP!! I HAD FAITH IN REGALIA AND NOW I'M BEING BASHED FOR HAVING LOYALTY??!!!!" "F*** YOU, I'M NOT EVEN SURE WE CAN LEAVE NOW!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! I'M F***ING... AAAAGH.. GOD DAMN IT!!" Nathan and Roark had a shouting match for ten minutes, before Nathan had to rush to a healing house because his broken hand was in pain.

Aethris had stayed calm, and slammed his fist down a couple of times. Those Qadir bastards would never take his faith away from the Old Gods, but he would have to keep it a way deeper secret and he would never ever mention them ever again. He was planning to move to Arvost or Warrenord once another island in the archipelago, but now the capital was taken and he has no exit out of the city.

Dimitri paced the docks upon hearing the news of the Qadir occupation
of Regalia, angry but incredibly relieved he had gotten his family
home in time. The only thing on his mind that angered him was that
he was unable to bring Aurelia, though she wasn't family he
didn't want to just leave someone close to the family behind...

The Lord of Calemberg tapped his quill rhythmically against the wood of the table before him. His new cell was musty and dank, towards the bottom of a Qadir vessel bound for the Imperial City. There wasn't much they could do to add comfort to a ship's brig, he supposed. Especially considering he hadn't even signed their petty document. He glanced back down, reading through the loopy text upon the parchment. A document. A document that pledged the allegiance of he and his own to the Qadir Pashawa. Ulric released a heavy sigh. First wars, next capture, then expulsion from the Chancellor's seat, and now this. If this was how the rest of this new year was going to be, his hair would be completely grey by 304. Regardless, Ulric moved his hand out to sign the end of the document. There would certainly be uprisings against the darkskins. And if there weren't, he'd start them on his bloody own. Calmly and silently, he finished his signature and slid the document to the other end of the table. The eager Qadir officials snatched up the parchment, folding it neatly before shuffling out of the brig, probably off to go deliver it to the Pashawa or something, he assumed. With that, Lord Ulric sat back, reaching a hand under his cream white undershirt to grip a small pendant hanging loosely around his neck. A golden hand before a small star, the symbol of Unionism. He would not fail the Imperial Spirit.

Cruallassar, who's massive head injury from his rescue attempt some weeks ago had healed, looks out over the incoming Quadir forces from a rooftop, and smiles to himself. ~So the Quadir have gotten this far after all...it would seem that my skills will be even more useful. Time to have some fun.~ He slings his bow...which he had retrieved from its resting place with the rest of his weapons in the city less then an hour prior...over his back, and starts heading toward the nearest wall. He would stay on the Regalian island, to harass the Quadir forces and generally make their lives miserable. They want the Imperial city? They can have fun with that.

Rei slept soundly in her house before suddenly waking up to the rumbling noises. The sudden silence that followed after the disturbance was eerie for Rei, as she didn't like how this was going. This was like straight out of those plays that she had watched a few years ago. The silence was soon disrupted for her as she pushed the thick window curtains aside, and peered out of the window. Rei immediately pushed the curtains back as soon as she saw the marching soldiers coming down the streets and around the city. Her mind was in a scramble as she had no idea what was going on, her heart starting to beat in panic before looking and peering from the window again. Rei groaned out in heavy frustation as she wondered what had happened to the other Regalian soldiers or guards in the city. Now she was starting to be heavily worried for her friends for the first time in a while, not knowing if the Qadirs were going in an all-out slaughter style in the city, like an asian chinese school-yard fight. The future for Rei was uncertain.

( Rei's state: 60 - worried- )

(60 - 20: 40.)

Lennox was humbly tending to his plants when he heard the first cannon fire. Simply waving it off has a mistake, he froze dead still when he immediately heard ten other cannons fire, and a deep fear ran through his veins. He looked at Bandit, the small ferret sleeping unknowingly on his bed. Lennox began racing his thoughts, back and forth "What to do, what to do..." As he heard the troop's marching, he decided to stay inside. When a pair of Qadir kicked down his door, he held his hands for mercy. One of the two spit on him, and they left him there, snickering as they went through their new hometown. As he heard the new laws, he decided to prepare his remedies, as he felt he would have a long list of patients.

Damian had set full sails towards Regalia after he was released from his Rim Isle cell. He and his fellow prisoners were simply given the boot, being no more than common men. He had reluctantly brought Kemion Alvaris with him, because he was a fellow operative under House Black's flag. They had sailed back with a old smuggling friend, who reluctantly allowed him passage back to Regalia after he called in a old favor. Their faster sails plus not being slowed by the large amount of ships allowed the ship to reach Regalia before the Qadir fleet reached the capital.

He finally reached Christopher Black, though the Qadir had already breached the city walls. He followed Black as he fled to the sewers along with his household staff and his kin. He resurfaced often though, exploring the city as the Qadir flags flew overhead. He caught wind that many nobles were caught during the initial attack and pledged to the brown skins. He was weary realizing House Black was one of the few noble families still loyal to the crown. He posed as another low born man. One who no one would give a second glance. Rebellion. Rebellion was sure to come and soon. He knew it, so did Black. Though it was still to soon to revolt. They simply laid low as the Qadir settled themselves in our city, enslaving anyone unlucky enough to be caught by their slavers.

Damon tapped his fingers together "What a pity" he sighed out. Regalia had fallen to the Qadir and everything truly was chaos. He wondered if despite being second class if they could continue to own their wares and antique shop. He stood, his pale skin the polar opposite of a qadir's and him icey blue eyes unalike their golden ones. he grabbed his cane and wrapped his scarf around his neck "Time for everything to go to void"

The transition from rich first class citizen was not easy for the ailor but he worked his way into it, the bitter taste sitting in his mouth now that he is lesser. Not being able to leave the city was killing him as well. After a day of buying two slaves he returned to his home in Regalia, going to his room and writing down his thoughts. It wasn't right. he thought. Rebellion would be difficult but what of being lower than the qadir. Nelfin seemed to tolerate it.

He couldn't simply stand back and let everything unfold. He desided he had to do something. What? he did not know but he would do his best to change things for himself.
