• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

So, today, early in the morning, there was a stream. During this stream, I learned a lot about some upcoming changes. Here's the briefing:

ITHANIA V2?
  • A new map was being made. When making this map, the original top-down map of Ithania was used as a reference. The map created was nearly identical. This leads me to assume we will be getting an Ithania V2 map, for either Survival, Roleplay, or Quests. My guess would be survival.
Trait Changes?
  • Some trait changes are being made. These mostly seem to be coming in the form of new traits and removing old traits. The most notable changes being:
  • All mob truce traits are (likely) being removed in favor or a more general "MobTruce" trait. This trait was listed at a cost of 150 points.
  • Races are (likely) coming back. Race traits were shown in the spreadsheet at the end of the stream. These traits included a positive and a negative attribute. For example, Varran gain Speed, but also HarmWater (though this was removed later in the stream), and Maraya gain extra points (no negative trait shown at this time). These traits seem to be befitting the most common subrace of each race, however, and do not take into account the other subraces, such as the Ovirran Varran (otters), or the Urdweld dwarves (who would still receive a loss in archery prowess).
  • Heal traits seem to be being removed again, as the Allar race were given a HealAlways bonus.

So, here are the changes I saw during the stream. Let me know what you think. I don't know if this is the right place for brainstorming ideas, so I'd hold off unless there is a post from staff asking for feedback.

Anywho, have a Massive day!
