Plot Hooks History

• Dunois is Pelyon Teled and is easily recognised as such.
  
  Dunois is a Regalian veteran with a long list of battle honours and regions of service under his belt, and might be passingly familiar with other Regalian soldiery.
  
  Dunois is nonetheless a follower of Estelley, regularly seen at local temples and shrines of the Elven religion.
• Dunois was born in August 285AC to a union between the Fury Arken and a Pelyon Teled mother in the aftermath of a local conflict. He entered military service as is standard for any Pelyon, further pushed by his Furyborn nature, but was convinced to take on a more defensive role in conflicts as a test of his own willpower and self-control by his commander. Treating it as a challenge, he excelled in this fashion.
  
  Dunois would continue to serve in this capacity for some years until the outbreak of the Dread War, where he would sell his services as a mercenary on the front lines of the conflict in the Teled homeland and losing his left arm in doing so. Not one to let something as simple as dismemberment keep him from working, he immediately had a prosthetic fitted and put himself to work studying mechanics and technology in order to maintain, customise, and improve his new limb.
  
  Since the Dread War, Dunois has served in numerous small skirmishes across the breadth of the Regalian Empire, each time making sure to exact his toll in gold or loot, until being called to the Imperial City by the mercenary commander Vexes, calling in an old favour from their time outside Mërcassar.
