- The Guardian focus is an ability native to the Drowdar that is extremely effective in their war against everything void related, even outside of their native homeland of Drowda. The Drow are capable of creating a focused channeling, a sort of state of meditation aimed at a specific person that will cause waves of excruciating pains over the whole body to anything related to the Void. This is including but not limited to: Shendar (regardless if they are Void Worshipers or not), Void related Mages, Vilitatei, Silven of Void Arken, Void Worshipers, anything that has an active Death Mage spell on it, and general Void Demons (but not Arken). This ability is activated by engaging in a stance of meditation, by bending the sword arm behind their back, holding their sword there, while keeping their other hand in front of them in a half praying gesture. The Drow will then proceed to intently focus on a person in front of them, anywhere between two feet and thirty feet away, while emptying their mind and focusing only on said person. This stance can be maintained practically indefinitely, though while a Drow can slowly walk around maintaining their focus, someone attacking them or they themselves breaking the focus will obviously cause the pain to end. The casting time for Guardian Focus is instant, as long as the Drow is not interrupted from the moment they put their arm behind their back, as soon as the other hand takes the praying gesture, the effects take place. They must additionally also remain within fifty feet distance for the effect to remain in place, and a clear line of sight must also be maintained, a single person standing between the Drow and their target is enough to break it, even if they can still see their arms and legs. Furthermore, the pain scales up depending on how many Void related traits the target has. For example, a Void Mage Void Worshiping Shendar will suffer more pain than a simple Ailor Vilitatei. Guardian Focus cannot be used as a form of passive lie detector to figure out whether someone has some Void related traits. For some reason, when the Drow does not find themselves in a clear state of conflict with their targe, Guardian Focus does not work. Should a person endeavor to fight a Drow however, Guardian Focus can be used to detect if they have any Void presence. While it does not clarify what kinds of Void related matters affect the target, Guardian Focus acts as a sort of vague indication that something is wrong. It does however make them completely vulnerable to attacks, as their dominant sword arm is always behind their back, and Guardian Focus requires them to essentially stop fighting for the duration of them using it.
