• Character Sheets are optional on MassiveCraft. You do not need a sheet to play or be whitelisted on our server. You only need a sheet if you plan to engage in roleplay combat.
  • Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Dirk had received approval from his father before he died, which greatly satisfied the young man, however now he strives to be the best possible leader for his family. Dirk has a broader goal of bringing the banking capital in Calderliga to his homelands of Pannor, and his rich networks of banks throughout the empire are meant to take market share from the Calderligans.
    • Religious Beliefs - Dirk has always been a very devout worshipper of both Allest and Daiana, where the latter receives a majority of his worship due to his strong Eronidas sympathies. He always has made significant donations to Unionist Temples in Pannor, as well as shrines for Daiana across the Empire, notably close to his banks. Dirk has also been the first Van Den Akker patriarch to encourage his clan to become members of the Peerage and join the Helerian guard rather than the Military. This is because Dirk seeks an alliance amongst the Regalian clergy.

  • Plot Hooks
    • Investing Body - Mainly meant for people with the Fiscal Presence Pack, House van den Akker's banks could have been one of the banks your character borrowed from and now Dirk is looking to collect on that debt. Dirk can also act as an investor for in character progression hooks or just generally as like a loan for your character's business or mercenary venture. He is also apart of the Commerce Guild. Dirk is willing to spend money on almost anything but he is sort of a loan shark and he gets rather angry if he's not paid back his dues!
    • Proud Eronidas - Dirk is notoriously fond of Eronidas culture outside of Anglia, having visited the Polons in Daendroc and Ashaven multiple times in his youth; it is safe to say that he will act favorably to most Eronidas. He does hold disdain toward the Death Shamans and avoids the City of Kur, only having visited once and intends never to return again as the rampant magic scared him deeply.
    • MIlitary - Dirk is an officer in the Theomarchs, a fact which he is very proud of but only joined very recently, in 310 A.C during the Kade Campaign in Ellador, where he lost his arm. While he did serve dutifully, this is really the only combat experience he has seen as since then, the Empire has been in a state of relative peace and there is no reason for him to deploy. However, he is rather new to being a Theomarch and as such, he can make poor decisions on the battlefield, though because of his status as a noble, he has maintained his high rank regardless.

  • Life Story
    • Early Years (280 - 300 A.C)
      • Dirk was born in a large estate in the Northernmost island of Pannor in 280 A.C along with eight sisters, he was also born as the third child of nine.
      • Since he was the only male, he did receive quite a lot of attention from his father, however it was largely accepted that one of his sisters would rule House van den Akkers due to simple statistical probability.
      • Dirk did have two main advantages however, he was much larger than his sisters, and he was far smarter than most members of his family, exceeding in the private tutors that their mother paid for.
      • Overall, Dirk's childhood was rather cushy, although his father clearly tried to nudge all of his children into military service, it never truly interested the young Count, as he tended to be with his father in the day-to-day managing of his counties.
      • His sisters were far better at fighting than Dirk, however they did not get to see how the counties were managed, nor did they have the same relationship with their father than Dirk had; it was clear in his later teen years that Dirk would become the patriarch.
      • Some of his sisters, who felt cheated as they were able to best Dirk in competitions of raw skill at this age, married into other noble families or just left behind the life of nobility in pursuit of other interests. Today, Dirk only has three sisters that have stayed by his side, all of them younger than he.
      • In 296 A.C, Dirk would petition his father to pay for his education in Dragenthal at the Narlas School of Commerce, his father did not understand why but the tuition was inexpensive to the Count so he allowed it.
      • By 300 A.C, Dirk had graduated top of his class from Narlas, and just in time, as his father had become gravely injured while quelling a rebellion in Pol Hullamun, when he returned.
    • Adolescence(300 - 310 A.C)
      • Count Bas van den Akker would die in 301 A.C, as the winter proved too harsh for his ailing condition, considering that he was already a fairly old Eronidas by that time.
      • At the age of twenty-one, Dirk would be thrusted into the spotlight as the new Count of Pol Hullamun, though he was by far the most prepared for this expedition.
      • Dirk first established a banking network throughout Pannor, buying five buildings across the main islands of Pannor, founding three mercenary companies alongside them to protect the banks.
      • This at first enticed smaller farming investors, as Dirk gave out very lenient loans in his first years to accrue wealth before using that wealth to establish the banks across the Empire.
      • Much of Dirk's adolescent years was spent gathering wealth and creating his banking network, he spent a majority of his time doing this and encouraged his family to travel to Dragenthal so that they may receive the same education he was afforded.
      • During this time, House van den Akker went from a relatively obscure county in the poor areas of Anglia, to one of the more prominent houses in the region, which Dirk attributes exclusively to himself.
      • Toward the latter years of his very rapid expansion, Dirk became enthralled with Regalian and Erondias culture, and strove to be indulge himself in the best of both worlds.
    • Recent Years (310 - 315 A.C)
      • Dirk would join the Theomarchs in 310 A.C, right in time for the Kade Campaign into Ellador, which would be his first military excursion outside of his own county.
      • He would feel a connection with his ancestors that he's never had before, loving battle and the art of war even though he sort of sucked at being an officer, given that he essentially bought his way to the position.
      • This would come to fruition when he tried to fight a very powerful Death Mage on his own and badly lost, losing his entire left forearm in the exchange and nearly dying.
      • He would recover by the time that the Campaign ended and travel back to the archipelago, wherein he would travel Corontium to all of his major banks, leaving small gifts in his wake.
      • This would lead him to Regalia, where he does not have a bank currently but intend to found one himself, and make that one his capital investment firm rather than the bank that he first established in Pol Hullamun.
