• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Demonic Sieges

Would battles against the demonic invasion be a fun idea?

  • Yeah! I'd love to fight against the hordes of demons!

  • Not really. There's no need to ever do this.

  • This sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't be upset if they didn't implement it.

I've been noticing a lot of mention of Regalia being a holy capital, fighting against the looming darkness of the demon invasion. Well, lately, there hasn't BEEN too much "invading" being attempted. I have a suggestion for this that would necessarily only require the most trusted RP staff (when they're not busy accepting RP characters and monitoring forum-side RP campaigns that is). I was thinking, perhaps have a daily, or more realistically weekly, "demon siege" in Regalia. This would consist of staff throwing mob eggs of nether creatures (or perhaps just spawn the mobs randomly like the old school Baver attacks). The "win" state would be the defending players would kill off the waves of spawned mobs and having mages "seal" the place that the demons came from. A "lose" state would result in a temporary sealed off section of Regalia. Or, if you'd rather not do this in Regalia, perhaps make a "Front Lines" Instance in which players hold off the demons from reaching the city in an open battlefield (This seems like an easier route to go since it would only require mob spawning blocks instead of RP staff). Anyways, I realize that the staff is super busy as is, but I figured that I might as well mention this idea for possible future use! Let me know what you all think.

"Demons" are endermen in the lore.

It's a little difficult to get endermen to purposely attack anything without making players attack them.

True, however, they also employ the use of the creatures from Gana.

Setting up, say, a series are decent siezed caves and putting various mob spawning blocks (skele spawners, zombie spawners, blaze spawners, spider spawners, the like) inside the caves would make it possible to have nightly wars around Regalia - building a wall with gates that close at night would keep the city safe from zombie hoards.

If the above is what you mean then I think it wouldn't be very difficult to manage, though I'm not staff and so have little ability to judge. I'm not sure if it's possible to set mob spawning to locations rather then worlds, but if not then it would be a simple wasteland world with a portal or two in ships in the Regalia Harbor that go to a minigame style world. If it's possible to turn off pvp without turning off pvm then that would be a cool thing.

If the admins aren't too busy doing everything else I think this would be a fun idea :)

I think he just means demonic as in evil in general, like zombies, possibly even wither skeletons :D
I'd like to see this, but I think it would be very good for RP reasons for people to join with the demonic side since not all of us are good pure hearted heroes who want to see Regalia thrive. Especially vampires.

This is in the wrong section, but I personally love the idea.

After all, Regalia wouldn't be ALL holy, there always will be some sort of leak, somewhere. Whether within the Characters, or in the Monsters themselves.

Maybe more once a month, not once a week?

I think making a front lines area would probably be the best and easiest for a couple reasons.
1) It would allow people who do not want to deal with monsters/rping/lag to avoid the front
2)It would allow for a constant flow of daemons, acting like a constant threat. That way Regalia would really be 'under attack' by daemons.
3)It would make it so that the RP staff have an easier time.
Now these front lines wouldn't have to be in regalia, they could be their own independent world, though I think building there should be limited or not allowed, to lower the amount of out of place builds. I also think that it would allow all the factions that say they are crusaders fighting for Regalia to go and actually have a crusade against daemons instead of factions and people they don't like.

The problem with this idea is that there is not a "constant" stream of demons that flow through random portals. These "invasions" only happen when there is a tear in the veil and some are able to get through. The veil does not open up to a schedule.

True. I am mainly basing this off of what I would like to happen, and off of Sword Art Online. Plus I think it would be the easiest to maintain, as a lot of people would love to get involved in fighting daemons, but are unlucky when it comes to being online for one of the random attacks.

This would be awesome, if even it wasn't on a weekly regular basis- it would be even more fun if it occurred at random, but more frequently than as seen with the Baver attacks which have happened what... once every one or two months?

i love this idea and have a suggestion, the world it is in should have the biome rules set siege to true constantly, a siege is basicly a random event when villagers get to populated in a village, what happens is that mobs but mostly zombies get their spawn limits removed, and then are given the ability to spawn even in light sources... Thus causing massive chaos and fighting them off, not even light or day will stop the spawning. A real demonic siege.

Ahh, that makes sense, but shouldn't there be more attacks of this sort? Or am I mistaken to think that the demons almost destroyed all of civilization at one point? One would think that they would want to seek revenge, as well as seek as much chaos and destruction as possible for being stopped in the past. Or am I mistaken to think this as well?

I can see it now! My name in lights! "Demon horde brings noble city to it's knees!"

In all seriousness I think it would be cool for the possessed players to have an alliance with the more enderman-like demons. Also, if this was to be implemented I agree with what jla129 said about the demon attacks not having a schedule. These would probably be considered major RP events and be infrequent/ sparse in occurrences.
