• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Can you view video games as an art? I usually do with some cases. For example, minecraft can be viewed as an actual art. In terms of gameplay minecraft sucks, but thats not why people play it. People play minecraft for the fun times they create from the game. Minecraft does not generate good times per se, but people use it as a tool for making adventures. Another example is Journey. The game is shoulder deep in philosophical meanings and it is somehow full of emotion even though the "characters" don't say a single word. Can video games be viewed as an art?

Every flower in Skyrim was painted individually, how is something like that not art? Video games are a series of animated images, they have to be viewed as some kind of art.

Games like Limbo is more about the visual experience than the game itself and when games do that well, they should be applauded.

Since art for me is about the visual experience i don't see Minecraft as a art game, more of a tool in that viewpoint.

Games can be art I say, but only some of them....
Art maybe not i the comon way but I tend to say "Art is what you think it is".
Art, and the definition of it, is a very individual feeling. A game like Fable, the lost chaptcher, was art for me. The combination between music and enviromental experience and the story..... I still think about scenes there....
It's like a picture that draws itself while I'm thinking....If that happens, a game is art for me.

Art to me is usually what makes me think about the art's purpose. I often ask myself several questions about a piece of art. I would not personally consider minecraft being art, because it isn't deep enough to me to make me ask myself those questions. Many others would think differently though.

Well i kinda ment the philosophical kind of art more but it was still interesting to see everyone opinions
