• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Ok this will be a simple one since i completely forgot i had to post one today.
Usually on the internet no one knows your true identity, and its very probable that they never will. Do you think this influences people to act like jerks since it is easier to imagine that the person you are insulting is not real or is a stereotypical nerd? Is that what causes a lot of trolls and griefers?

Yes. You can be whomever you want on the internet without any feeling of comeback. Though, if you're like me and have access to the players IP... I could find out every bit of information about you :)

Well, I don't know if it's legal in all countrys, but in mine tey use your IP quite often to personalize advertisments for you. So you can tell the country and the next big city to yours. Which is pretty close to an identity... I would not know other hacky ways, but there are for sure.

On-topic: I truly do think so. An that is why I love team speak, if you haven't before you recognize that these are real people, all nice and friendly.
You can't do them a bad thing anymore if you have recognized that.

Yes oh yes. People love to be jerks on the internet becourse the can hide behind the screen. These jerks that is "bullying" on the internet is probably also people that get bullied in real life and can act out on it on the internet.
The nerds home turf so to say :P

Aye.

The phenomena you speak of is called "Internet Induced Aspergers"

It's the tendency of a person to become less empathetic while on the web.

Also, what Ulu said about team speak i think is true, directly when you talk and listen to people you kinda go back to the "real you". That is in my opinion of course :P

I'm quite sure you can't find out 'every bit of information' about me, in fact, I'm completely sure you can't. Since everything is simply not on internet, everything is simply not shared with anyone else than my close circle.

I know that it is quite easy to find for example my address, phone and name basing on the location of my IP, and some quick searches on the internet. If you then take it one step further, it is not hard to get my social security number, where I live, and my income. This is something anyone can find out about anyone in Sweden. It's not a secret.

On a side note, I find it quite interesting that you choose to post personal information about me. I would have thought you had some kind of responsibility towards us, the users, when it comes to our personal information.

I didn't use any high tech equipment to stalk you. I would never do that. It's sad and a complete abuse of power. It was just an example how how vulnerable everyone is, say if I got hacked on here, they could find out your information from 2 vital pieces of information locked into your forum account that you cannot manually get rid of. The point is, you can be anyone you want on the internet, and anyone can find out who you really are with ease.

That is the lesson of the day. It's scary to know that anybody, at any moment, can find something that you would have preferred not to be shared...

That is why I generally lay everything out beforehand.

Why keep a secret when it's easy to discover? That's like hiding birdseed behind a brick wall expecting birds to not find it. :P
