Ever wondered what it would be like if there were commands for relationships in Roleplay???
Iv been thinking for a while now and iv noticed something in Regalia, specifically Roleplay families and friend groups and I have found that everyone, even if their characters seem connected seem a little.... cold hearted...
So I came up with the idea of creating a new command for Massivecraft roleplayers called "/relationship". This command could allow players to invite other players to join a thing called "Family Groups" (sort of like a Faction invite). With these relations you could add things like in-game marriages which could create a whole new aspect to roleplay.
The command would be something like this and could be available to all players:
/relationship <invite/revoke> <player name> <friend/enemy/lover/engaged/marry>
Each type of relation to a player could have different symbols next to their nameplate, a bit like premium and staff.
This could ultimately replace the "/favourite" command, giving it a new and exiting twist and could be added to forums character sheets to help with the relationship area.

I hope you like my little idea,

Fantastic idea i really enjoy it, it'd also be cool if it greated a chat group thing too so you dont have to make a faction to talk to your IC family in mc.

This seems like a good idea but it wouldn't work for any of my characters but one because all the others either have no friends or is a hoe ;n;

A marriage plugin was mentioned in marty's roadmap for the future announcement, I believe, as a future, unconfirmed, may or may not actually happen type thing.

I really, really, really don't like this idea for roleplay. Many roleplayers have multiple characters, it would all make a huge mess with seeing what character's with what.

I agree with Squeak- also, it should definitely not replace /fav in my opinion, but in general there are quite a lot of flaws in this idea-
  • Most people have more than one character. And a lot are in more than one family.
  • /fav isn't just used for roleplay purposes. There are a ton of people on my fav list that I rarely rp with, if ever. I'm sure I'm not the only one like that.
  • It would probably take forever to code, making it not worth the time, especially considering that the favouriting command currently in place is just fine.
  • Marriage can just be roleplayed out.
  • This would probably be annoying imo, since relationships are constantly changing, and once again, a lot of people have more than one char.
  • Other reasons but I'm lazy and you get the point, hopefully.

I do get where you are coming at but do realise this is just a small idea I threw out there, I made my point and left the rest of the ideas to be made by the rest of the community. Please understand I have not but full detail into this small idea, Thank You

I'm going to mark this suggestion as "Under review". Just note that even if this is or is not in a future road map somewhere down the line, it is extremely low priority and hence may not (if ever) occur due to higher Tech staff priorities.
