• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Before I begin I'll just say this is mostly an outsider's view since I haven't had the chance to ever play a Chi'i and don't hold a current interest in it because I have too many characters on my plate, but I thought it'd be rad to state how the Chi'i may be seen from an outsider's view once this update is done, and what the view is as of right now.

Things I would like to know before I move any further..

  • Are you excited for the Sihai release? If so, let us know!

Yeah.. I've been waiting for a while for it to see if I'm going to be interested in the race as a whole. From what I've seen so far it sort of reminds me of Imperial China or something of the sorts. Would be rad to see what's been developed and what is to come.

  • Do you already have a Ch'ien-Ji character, if not, tell us why?

I don't have one because there hasn't been much of a presence and the niche feels a lil' too magical-esque and focuses a lot on the previous trustee system, but this is basically null & void because of the changes. So we'll see what there's to do, and my opinion will probably change.

  • Are you planning to make a Chi/Sihai character in the future?

Well. That's very much depending on the ends that I can take one as. Hopefully the niche will be broad enough as a culture to fit in some interesting character ideas besides the idea of a 'smart scholar chi'i doing magic and dragons.'

  • Would you be interested in Sihai themed events such as food festivals, religious events, cultural gatherings and possibly even a 'Chinatown' like area? Speak your mind, we need your input!

Yeah. That'd be nice to have compared to the bland events that are carbon-copies of one another.

How would you guys like to see a formalized group of Sihai character interact?

I'll just sum it up with this:

If there's a specific neighborhood, not a complete district because that'd take away from the compactness of the new Regalia unless you squished the homes together, then it'll open up for players to traverse in there and experience the culture without having to play a Sihai. This would allow a multitude of players with different character niches to have a reason to interact with the neighborhood since I'm assuming it'll have shops and stalls with a wide variety of services. In the end it would be interesting to interact with them.

As for the rich nobility side of it: It would be interesting to have it set-up in a manner like a foreign Chinese court sending dignitaries and whatnot or it'd be cool to see it set-up like the Cro-Allar nobility. Though, this all depends on the population of the community and its success.
