Character Concept
Character Core
Charikleia is Theurgist-Spellsword who is a devout follower of the Everwatcher, having turned her own tragedies into divine messages and portents that tell her what it is that must be done. She will burn out the enemies of the Everwatcher, and raise up the faithful through whatever means she can use.
Character Tenets
Know No Heresy
Charikleia is ignorant of Non-Unionists. She may be cordial with an Estellian, but knowledge is power, and letting the reasoning of the enemy slip into your head is a way to let their poison make you stray from the path.
The Everwatcher's Plan
She truly believes that whatever occurs, is merely the will of the Everwatcher. A loss may be twisted into a humbling defeat to keep her focused, a hardship a test, and those who disagree with her merely don't get it. She'll make them see.
Scripture-Bearer
Charikleia was learned in the way of not showing weakness, but she knows the power of words and faith as well. Supporting her Siblings in Faith verbally is something she takes pride in, and she may consider speaking a heretic who is not too far gone down or even to the faith a victory
Stiff-Backed
A representative of the cloth, even one as lowly as she, must carry themselves with the utmost prestige. She may not have rich vestments nor noble etiquette, but she refuses to let there be a wrinkle in her robe, sour words in her speech, or stain on her character.
Tattered Soul
Beneath all this wrath and religious fervor, Charikleia is still simply a woman seeking penance for a sin that she will never wash from her tapestry. She holds this secret well, and would only willingly confess to a Priest or someone who has the closest of bonds.
Stalwart Redemptionist
Charikleia is a paragon of her faith, and this means embodying all aspects, to include the redemption of wretches and sinners. However, she knows there are many bad actors, and to compromise even once is to invite them to force even more compromise. Spirits, demons, sinners, heretics are all welcome to throw themselves st the Everwatcher's feet, but it shall not be on their own terms.
Service In Death
Charikleia's armor has been passed down to her from sisters prior, each living a faithful life and dying a faithful death. Several spirits of the sisters who lived and died in this armor, and she expects to die and join them, serving even after she passes. She has taken comfort in this predestination of her fate, and fears death less for it.

Appearance Information
Eye Color: Green
Skin Color: Tanned
Hair: Brunette
Height: 5'8
Body Type: Thin, but sturdy.
Outfit: Charikleia typically wears a battered suit of halfplate with cerulean cloth padding and a habit, with a variety of magestones and trinkets which hang off her hip. When she does not wear her armor, she remains in plain and moderate vestments.
Tattoos: While not one for frivolous pursuit, Charikleia has several pieces of body art. Namely, several lines of Evintarian Scripture around her wrists, and magical glyphs that are etched into a collar around the base of her neck.
Scars: Charikleia has a number of mementos of her past encounters across her form, with the most prominent being a large, jagged cut down the right side of her face.

Mechanics
Ailor are masters of languages, which is expected given their habit to culturally divides. Because so many of their languages are inter-connected, various words become more obviously related, and they also take more effort to learn other languages. If someone insults an Ailor, even in a language they do not speak, the Ailor would know, as they know most curse words or words by which to speak ill of others in all languages.
Ailor are the masters of the Regalian Empire, and while it has equality between all peoples and heritages, Ailor are just by virtue of being Ailor considered preferential for most government positions and judicial situations. Where possible to do with the Nobility, with Government, or with Palace decisions, Ailor will be treated preferentially over other peoples, even if their qualifications might be lesser than the other options.
Ailor when using Syncretism can worship up to 3 Gods of their sub-dominant Religion, instead of just 1 or 2. Additionally, when Syncretizing, they gain the Mechanic of the sub-dominant Religion (except for Evolism, where only one of the Mechanics can be chosen). If your Character does not Syncretize, they gain +1 Attack Stat (Breaking Cap up to 11) against Characters that have Syncretized their mono-faith.

Backstory
Charikleia was born on the Starlit Isle, and was raised up to be intensely devout by her mother and father. She learned to carve, weave, and read, taking up a love for poetry as she went through life without much incident.

At the age of 11, she awakened her magespark in a horrific way whilst she was being scolded for skirting the weekend sermon at her village's celery, claiming the life of her mother, father, and brother as the veil wore thin around her. Only living because of the mercy and pity of a member of the Sisters of Silence, who advocated for her mercy. She was taken to the larger city to be schooled and serve her penance.

She spent the next ten years mastering her skills and diving into scripture, considering the tragedy in her life to be a divine message to never leave the faith and to always remain steadfast in it's service.

Charikleia visited the shrine of Yvasi the Trueself at the age of 19, aligning herself more with what she was meant to be.
At the age of 22, she became a Lay-Priestess, in service to a small and remote Celery in Etosil who's primary purpose was to serve as wandering swords to protect the faith.

At the age of 26, she was tasked with the prestigious assignment of a wandering blade, and was ordered to hunt down the enemies of the Everwatcher and perform missionary work in the city of Regalia.

Relations

Ishika|An Ally From Another Faith|We are similar threads, yet cut from a different cloth. I wonder if you receive the same looks from your siblings as I do.

Krieger von Karlisle|Misguided|I do not understand the weight they put behind these vows. To swing a blade for another Liege means nothing. Yet to them, it defines their entire world.

Sierra|Blasphemer|They bring forth pain and suffering from a loyalty which does not seem to be born from any cause nor oath. I do not think I could see the weight of their actions, yet I wish it to not crush any innocent who stand in it's path.

Myka|Contrarian, Mentor, or Foe?|She has guided my steps, gone against all argument, and has struck out against my purpose. What am I to make of them, now they know who I am?

Baldewin|Purist|I know little beyond his allegiance to his brothers who had and would exile me once more, if possible. To show him my true-self would be a mistake, yet in his age and actions I know him to be true. Perhaps I may look into his mirror to learn.

Eydis|A Rival?|I do not know what to think of such a crude individual. They are not of my faith, they work to divide us, yet they speak praise of my actions. Such a strange current that forms in my heart hearing her. One that pulls from the shore upon the surface, yet ebbs towards it upon the riverbed.

Countess Silverberry|A Distant Figure|I am sorry, that we had never met. That I had performed an investigation, yet had never spoken to you. Like a distant isle upon the ocean, it seems I am fated to simply flow around you yet never quite touch.

Salvatore|Sinner|What sort of man keeps his work so close to his home? One dedicated to it so much, or one who keeps it close so he may never think about himself?

Leandre Delmotte|A Withered Flower, A Blooming Friendship|He is one who shares my story, yet not my setting. Confusion forces my heart to race for I know not what his intent shall be. Was it merely a farewell, or was there more to choosing my left?

Vittoria von Rolanthe|Fractured| What was the meaning of your omen? Were you fated to see me in my most vulnerable of moments? Do the divine tell me, that I am stronger for exposing myself or shall I take such to mean that when I grow vulnerable, my foe shall be there to strike.

Saasizima|???| What am I to make of you? You who I have known since I arrived. Between your jests, your gifts, your company I grow unsure if this is all a trick or something greater. Regardless, I hope my fascimile is something radiant.
