• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

roleplay is primarily centralized in Regalia, which has its pros and cons. The cons are, however, evident if you are playing a character who is either in exile/hiding out, and cannot return to Regalia. Of course, there are plenty of other places IC wise, but actually RPing there isn't an option. this probably renders your character unplayable; at least that's what my impression was.

response to in game alternate RP destinations: would you really want to confine your character's interactions to one small place?

on the survival worlds: that'd be a good alternative, except i heard somewhere that RP in such places wasn't lore canon. plus, there's the threat of PVPers.

i don't really have a solution to this because i've simply not thought of one yet, so I was wondering what y'all think and could suggest.

factions factions factions. Build a small house in your fac and say your character lives there and that settlement outsmarted the undead.

Try hiding out in the countryside. The Kronau rebels did it for 3 months. The first full fledged countryside area, Rothburg, is being released for rental soon.

A few players way back when built this cute little castle and surrounding countryside in the creative world. They had me look it over for whatever reason, but they wanted to use it as a roleplay place for their barony, which I thought was really cool. Perhaps you can try something along those lines?
