Heh, I'm not American so apologies if I fudge this up.
Abelhard
1. What would your character bring to a Thanksgiving dinner, if anything? Homemade sausages wrapped in thick bacon. A lot of them.
2. Who would they invite to dinner if they hosted it? His family, a few of the aberrants he's 'redeeming', maybe Joshua Kade, a lot of the trustworthy Divine Militia-folk, maybe a few fellow nobles, but that'd be most likely if it was more close-knit. If Abelhard was doing this for a show, most likely any and all nobility that look like they can handle large quantities of cooked meats would be invited.
3. What is their favourite side? Mashed potatoes, stuffing... Jelly Bean Vodka? Mash potato. Preferably with a lot of butter during it's mashing.
4. Turkey? Ham? Turducken? What's their favourite main dish? If he could, he would have them all: Rosemary-roasted turkey with so much stuffing it's spilling back out; A honey-glazed ham, cooked to his liking; A three-bird roast would go down a treat. But, if he has to pick one, it'd be the three-bird roast, purely for the range of meats he could have.
5. What is your character most thankful for? His newborn twins, his loving wife, his maniac, self-flagellating, poor-bathing brother, his friendship with most of the Reverends and Divine Militia, his friendship with some of the Aberrants that served him, and the fact he's still got a fully blonde moustache.
6. What are they the least thankful for? He's probably a bit forgetful about those who have helped him out, either because he doesn't know they've done it, or undervalues what they provided.
7. Are they prepping for Black Friday shopping? Oh, sweet Spirit yes. Abelhard is looking forward to walking into the local clothes shop, decked in full plate with a rowing-oar to make sure he can purchase his Geep Wool Turtlenecks. Any bystander that gets in his way is no longer valid in Abelhard's Great Way and may be a necessary sacrifice.
8. Any other questions you might want to add in!
a) Who would carve the turkey? Abelhard's wife, Anais most certainly would carve the turkey. Abe is incompetent and indelicate, and giving him a sharp implement while he's hungry is a poor decision.
b) What would your character watch on television on Thanksgiving? Well, definitely some form of sports fixture that involves glorified violence and exquisite physique. I'm personally British, so it wouldn't be American Football, so if Rugby is played anywhere during Thanksgiving on TV, he'd probably be watching that. Once that had finished, he'd definite watch war-flicks and crying patriotically, maybe a Tarantino marathon, Inglourious Basterds, Kill Bill etc, I'd imagine Abelhard would be a fan. Although not of Django due to heh- uh- well Songaskian Wars and general Regalian bigotry.
c) Does your character even care about Thanksgiving? I'd say as an excuse to gorge himself, watch sports, be with friends and family, it's enough of a good thing for Abe to appreciate, but he'd make it significantly more religious to fit his Unionist zealotry.
