Are you a new player?
Do you struggle to find interesting rp?
Are you looking to add meaningful relationships?

Many characters, both new and old, find themselves isolated and lacking strong connections with others. This is a lost opportunity, as some of the most interesting RP occurs when characters interact with those they care about. In those scenes, characters risk gaining or losing trust, love, respect, forgiveness, acceptance, revenge or another kind of emotional reward.

To address the problem of characters being isolated, I have created a directory. Here you can announce your characters and look for potential relationships. Simply add a post with your character's information or reach out to other players who have listed their characters here. Players who have posted their character's details are open to communication and may be willing to modify their stories to include relationships. These might include family members, rivals, former or new lovers, brothers in arms, disciples, proteges, and current and former mentors.

Be sure to negotiate what could tie your characters together and leave room for conflict! After all, conflict drives stories. Introduce the parent who never accepted you! seek out a former lover who has now turned into a vampire! reconnect with the tutor whose path you abandoned! encounter your rival half-brother once more!

Possible sources of attachment:
- Family ties. If needed, I am open to make her half-maqui to accommodate.
- I can retcon the story to make Imira the child of a beloved relative/friend that passed away.
- Some characters might like Imira for her passion, boldness and initiative.
- Imira is a devout follower of the Estellon faith and a maqui, some characters might want to tutor her.
- I am willing to add friends, former lovers and tutors to her story.
- I am open for other suggestions and willing to retcon some parts of her story.

Possible sources of conflict:
- Imira is mundane and she mistrusts magic users.
- Imira mistrusts Kathar and those with afflictions.
- Imira is Maquixtl but she has a non-maquixtl partner and she does not care for genos.
- Imira is stubborn, proud, and brash. She might offend characters or get people in trouble.
- Imira does not like intellectual, philosophical or scholastic work or discussions.
- I am open for other suggestions and willing to retcon some parts of her story.

What are you looking for?
- Family members (Parent or sibling, must be Slizzar if blood-related due to their age)
- Fellow scholars (religion, culture, magic, plants/animals)
- Rivals-to-friends/friends-to-rivals (preferably ideological or scholarly rivals, I'm not interested in CRP)
- Friends-to-partners
- Slizzar friends (preferably Devata)
- Former friends/relationships

Possible sources of attachment:
- Having travelled widely, Nishtara could have potentially met nearly any character at some point during the last 50-70 years. Their first few decades were spent in Gallovia and Velheim lands, but otherwise is open. Similarly, they can potentially run into nearly any character in one shift or another.
- Nishtara's parent is unknown and, in current backstory, left before the twins were born, so it's easy to work in the parent or a half-sibling with little to no backstory tweaking. Their sibling would have to be the same age and to have been raised Gallovian, but otherwise is open to changes.
- There currently exists a Slizzar mentor in their backstory, but as the player is no longer on the server, I would be willing to retcon it to a different Slizzar. Other non-Slizzar mentors are also welcome if they're old enough.
- Politically, they slide between being Progressive and Collectivist. This could be either a source of attachment or conflict.

Possible sources of conflict:
- Nishtara's sibling chose to embrace their Slizzar nature while Nishtara retained a strong attachment to their mother's religion and culture. Exactly what this means is open to interpretation, though I'm currently treating it as them being a Dragon Worshipper. Regardless, this is a source of religious and/or ideological conflict. Additionally, their detachment from the Dragons and the Great Game may also create conflict with more traditional Slizzar.
- Given their previous experience with religious violence, Nishtara has a lingering dislike for Unionism and religious fanatics in general, though they've come around slightly to Emended Unionism. They are a follower of the Cellik Old Gods and worship both the Aesir and Vanir. While indifferent to Void and Exist Magic, they have a dislike of Ordial Magic.

Possible Sources of Attachment:

-Alessandra lived nearly all her life in The City of One Hundred Docks, making anyone who came from the nearby islands a source of friendship/enemy.
-Alessandra had five other siblings, which are pretty easy to work in backstory wise.
-There used to be a tutor or teacher in Alessandra's backstory, and that role could be fulfilled by the mentor being aged to 100-150 OR the mentor could have gone down the path of Lichdom and turned to that to extend their life.
-Religiously Alessandra's loyal to the Dragon Faith, and politically she's loyal to the State.

Possible Sources of Conflict:

-Your character or a relative got screwed over by Alessandra's family in the City of One Hundred Docks, they either got swindled out of a deal or got framed for something.
-Your character murdered a sibling of Alessandra and is heading to the Capital City to either repent/finish the job.
-Your character is an Ordial Worshipper or uses Ordial Magic (some exceptions apply) and is a die-hard Dragon hater.
-Your character is a Void Worshipper or uses Void Magic (some exceptions apply) and is a die-hard Dragon hater.
-Your character hates the State and all those who are loyal to the Crown Princes.
