To the Peerage, Common Folk, and Empire at large,

I wish to make public my intent to seek the Office of Chancellor, in the wake of his High Eminence Dietrich von Drachenburg's announcement to retire from the office in two weeks' time. On this Public Notice, I have included a summation of my Agenda and Intent in several key matters of State, for the Peerage to review and consider before they cast their votes.

With that said, the decision to run at all does not come to me lightly. I sought the office during the same election in which his High Eminence von Drachenburg himself ascended to the Chancellery. And while I made an error in not accepting the Chancellery, I was proud to serve as his High Eminence's Secretary Whip, bringing an end to the Warden Crisis and planning for the Wars to come.

I am Silverhand, of the few non-ailor to be granted the Sacrament of Humanum in the eyes of his Imperial Holiness, a servant of the State for the past five years, former Lord Commander of the Violet Order, and have been Secretary Whip, his High Eminence's right hand, in running the State through the Warden Crisis and beyond, and Chancellor Delmotte before him. And if elected to the Chancellery, I will make good on what has been my primary intent since coming to the Holy City. To serve the Realm. -All- of it. And to ensure whoever would succeed me as Chancellor has a lasting infrastructure to build off of.

Policy and Intent

1. The Foreign Affairs Cabinet currently in place will be expanded upon, to include a sub-cabinet of skilled Statecraft and Diplomatic officials. Missions abroad to improve relations with our existing and potential allies will become commonplace, giving more members of the Peerage and Common class the opportunity to improve relationships with our allies abroad. Our Financial Ministry will see a similar expansion, with a singular Minister working more urgently with both the Peerage and local businesses to ensure the State's coffers continue to grow.
2. The War will take an increased priority by the State, with Grand Marshal Reimar Typhonus being supported and given ample resources to stage his war. This will demand more financial investment from the Peerage as a whole, but the specifics of this will be most fair to the ongoing concerns of each noble family, while also doing right by our soldiers and ceasing to treat the war as a forgotten, vestigial matter. It shall be felt, and then we shall have victory
3. As Foreign Affairs are seen to, The Capital City itself will see more local events hosted by members of the State Government, with a priority on engaging with the common folk and ensuring they are both listened to and cared for. Too often has there been a dividing wall between the functions of the State and the people they serve, and those walls will be broken down in my administration.
4. Lastly, it should be noted that the policies and actions of his High Eminence Dietrich von Drachenburg have largely been successful in running the Realm, and as such a continuation of his ability to marry goodly conservative ideology, while not shunning the advances in technology and arcane practice, will be maintained and refined in my administration. Members of the Peerage will find more responsibilities and opportunities to serve.
