In the face of rising reactionary sentiments within the Empire, the aristocratic houses of the capital driven towards a more forward-thinking, equitable future for the empire have formed a political faction known as Bloc de Progressif. This group intends to grow opportunities for legal, empire-loyal occult, decrease religious tensions in the empire, and advance a diplomatic agenda intended to enforce imperial hegemony with minimal violence.
◦•《 POLITICS 》•◦
- Pro-Occult: Occult can be a useful resource to the empire and should be trained to cultivate their abilities in order to serve the empire and advance it. This faction strongly opposes attacks against the occult and supports uniform justice for occult and mundane– that an attack or crime by magic should be punished equal to an act committed by mundane means. Additionally, this Bloc is a strong supporter of the Aelrrigan Order.
- Freedom of Worship: Unionism remains the religion of the empire but religions such as Estelley, Fornoss, Draconism, and other religions that support the lawful conduct of their followers should be allowed and treated with dignity.
- Press Freedom: The Bloc strongly supports civilized political expression and abhors the use of violence to silence another's politics as an admission of one's inability to coherently argue their position.
- Equity over Equality: In an attempt to give everyone equal opportunity, this faction prioritizes fairness by distributing resources based on individual needs, rather than treating everyone exactly the same. While equality aims for uniformity, equity acknowledges and addresses disparities to ensure a more just outcome.
- Stablizing State Coffers: By stabilizing the state coffers, the government can consequently enhance financial resilience and respond effectively to economic challenges and emergencies. It is the Bloc's intention to see the Empire's debts paid, particularly those indebted to Sovereign Ithania.
- This Bloc's leader at court is Prince Reynaud closely followed by Prince Constantine and Princess Shelia Manon. When these princes or princesses speak, the Bloc is quick to act in support of them to carry out their vision for the Empire.
- The Bloc's greatest detractors at court are Princess Glorianna, Prince Justinian, Princess Amalia and Princess Aliandre. Whenever these princes or princesses embark on a political campaign, the Bloc is often not far behind debating their agents and supporters while acting to stifle their reactionary ideas.
