Heishan of the Draconist faith has made a threat to all Estelleians of Regalia by proclaiming a "parade" to desecrate the Estelley Temple. Her justification is a claimed insult towards Draconism as a whole made by a single member of the Estelley faith, Vanectus. Vanectus admitted to making errors in their words and is willing to apologize for them. Yet, Heishan still intends to continue. Not for her gods, but for herself. This "parade" is nothing more than Heishan abusing the Draconist faith to gather a mob to fulfill a revenge fantasy from a personal grudge.
To provide background, weeks ago the Estelleian community gathered at our temple to discuss current grievances and ways to move forward as a community. Vanectus was one person in attendance and spoke of grievances from a previous Draconist raid against the temple last year. Because of numerous factors, such as Vanectus' own admittance to errors in how they spoke and various words being lost, an insult was perceived towards a Draconist named Vyara where no insult was made. In response, Heishan has declared this misunderstanding to be an insult to Draconism as a whole instead of just to Vyara, and that this warrants blood being spilled and a temple to be desecrated. I was also in attendance at the gathering that night, and yes, Vanectus' words were poorly spoken but there was no intention to insult anyone. Desecrating a temple over a misunderstanding is unjustifiable in all regards.
The Estelleians of Regalia will not tolerate this raid. We will defend it, and our faith, with blood and steel. We're also aware Heishan's plan is divisive inside the Draconist Conclave, and several have already stated that they do not intend to join. Draconists of Regalia, consider this: is Heishan really rallying you to fight for your faith, or for you to serve as cannon-fodder in her personal grudge? However, I do wish to extend a peaceful option to prevent the blood of Estelleians and Draconists from being spilled. Heishan shall be provided a chance to call off this raid: make a public declaration stating no raids will occur against the Estelley temple by Draconists.
