• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I'm going to repost this since it seems that I never got a formal staff response on this even though the general opinion of the community was good.

Pretty long title, but it sums it up. I want to be able to insert emerald blocks as ammunition for cannons. It should be a single high damage, it's speed should be medium/high, and it should have a medium/big explosion. No spread on it.

I think it would be a great use for emeralds that would be pretty interesting. Emeralds, as of now, can only be used for simple decoration and portal combos. This would be a good way to increase the value of emeralds in the market, and boost the economy.

Emeralds would now have a third use: Cannon ammunition. Emeralds would be eaten up rapidly by the cannons, so merchants would need to get more emeralds. As a result, miners will start to earn some money and trade with the merchants. This would improve trade throughout the server.

Finally, it should be easy to code in. Just fill in the framework and you have a projectile. No extra thought taken. It also shouldn't increase lag because of one extra projectile being added in, so the argument of "It will decrease TPS" will not work in this case. This can be used for other servers to eat up their emeralds and give them a use. Overall, everybody is happy.
