❮CURAE I - Appointment to Holy Office❯

Upon the Regalian Synodical Council of July, the Brother Reverends from all corners of the regalian Archipelago came together to elect a High Reverend from among their ranks. This first among equals will serve the Synod and the faithful as a representative of the Sancella, and a personification of moral purity, to be exceeded only by the Holy Spirit.

The Reverend Leufroy Louis de Vixe de la Mont Bertu d'Goss was elected with a Synodical mandate, taking on the pontifical name 'Volckamar III' in honour of the Heron of Zeal, granting insight into The High Reverends current agenda. The Venerable Reverend ran upon a clear mandate and set of objectives in which the Synod should achieve.​

1. The restoration of the Church's position in society with the coming of the Second Tide of Unionism.​
2. The canonical interpretation of the Second Tide of Unionism in order to guide the masses.​
3. The strengthening of the Synodical Institution.​
4. The removal of secular influences in the Synod.​

With the changing tide of Unionism, it is the foresight of the Synod that the ever-growing needs of the Divine Union can no longer be appeased by a singular office holder. Which is why alike to the Spirit becoming in every Ailor we will place further responsibilities upon our clergy and have them hold great offices of our holy Sancella in order to share the burden of guiding the masses.​

• The Hallowed Office of The Reverend-Minister of State.​
  • His Most Holiness would deem to appoint Médard du Mont-Lucia to The Office of The Reverend-Minister of State, with his guidance, blessing, and everlasting support.​
  • The Ministry of State is tasked henceforth with the overwatch of Synodical matters in the realm of secular statecraft and politique.​
  • In addition, The Minister shall be broached before any Minister makes public statement on a matter, to give approval (saving the overall face of The Synodical Collective).​
  • The Minister of State shall act as The Synod envoy to foreign powers and Commonwealth Allies. Overall an Ambassador of The Synod's will both home and abroad.​
• The Hallowed Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Canonical Court.​
  • His Most Holiness would deem to appoint Aethelred Howlester to The Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Canonical Court, with his guidance, blessing, and everlasting support.​
  • The Ministry is tasked henceforth with the establishment of a court of Canon Law, to trial heretics and heathens along with minor-sinners.​
  • The Court will, alike the Regalian Judiciary, offer citizens an opportunity to report violations of Holy Canon Law.​
  • The Court will be unlike its secular cousin (The Regalian Judiciary), devoid of a prosecution. Only the defendant shall stand, judged by The Reverend-Minister and The Spirit above.​
• The Hallowed Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Guiding Eye.​
  • His Most Holiness would deem to appoint Aelfric Harhold to The Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Guiding Eye, with his guidance, blessing, and everlasting support.​
  • The Ministry is tasked henceforth to continue the Ministerial Work of the Guiding Eye, in presenting forth Unionism to nations far off, and to the lost within the home.​
  • All holy missions and the missionaries therein are to answer to The Reverend-Minister of the Guiding Eye.​
  • The Minister is tasked with the recruitment of Laymen for said foreign ventures and missions.​
  • The Minister is tasked with the reclamation of Holy Relics.​
• The Hallowed Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Hand of War.​
  • His Most Holiness would deem to appoint Jakob Ludevar to The Office of The Reverend-Minister of the Hand of War, with his guidance, blessing, and everlasting support.​
  • The Ministry is tasked henceforth with the overseeing of Sancella marshal assets, including but not limited to: The Helerian Guardforce, Inquisition, and Holy Warriors (and applicants from Hallowed Blood).​
  • The Minister shall oversee the security of the collective Synod, and establish an active Helerian presence to aid in this.​
  • The Minister shall designate sights of military importance for The Sancella in its foreign crusades.​
• The Hallowed Office of The Reverend-Minister of Tithes and Almnes.​
  • His Most Holiness would deem to appoint Reginald de Rieu to The Office of The Reverend-Minister of Tithes and Almnes, with his guidance, blessing, and everlasting support.​
  • The Ministry is tasked henceforth to work in ensuring Synodical Tithes and Almnes collected reach their proper usage and that Tithes are paid by noble families.​

Alongside this, his Most Holiness makes the reassignment of the honourary positions and titles and their intended ceremonial functions.​

"Brothers and sisters, today is a day of celebration. We have elected ourselves a new High Reverend, who will surely guide us through these hard times. Innovative, smart and zealous, is how I would describe this Synodical bull and our most noble and pious High Reverend"
