From the Desk of Mr. Juve-Baptiste Pompallier, Baron's Scribe.

| A PUBLIC CONDEMNATION |

For the last month, a Lanlath in the service of House Norinn and House Nayelen has been consistent in the harassment of the Baron Bavere de Coulogne. This has involved repeated slandering, religious offending and numerous breaches of low law. The Baron himself has raised this issue with the leaders of both noble houses on multiple occasions, yet this Lanlath has remained in their service until unfortunately, despite numerous promises for apologies and re-education, it has reached a boiling point.

THE COURT OF COULOGNE is now forced to publicly condemn the Houses Norinn and Nayelen for their failure to control their staff, and failure to uphold court protocol. While the Court understands that the Lanlath Astrid has now been terminated from their service, this has come too little too late, after the Baron allowed multiple instances of offending to slide. This final act has truly insulted the Baron, who values his friendships highly and despite recently thwarting an attempt on Count Norinn's life, cannot fathom why he would allow this employment to continue. I personally ask the Count, are you inept at reining in your house? Do you wish to burn every bridge you have made? If you truly understand the importance of the companionship you hold with the Baron de Coulogne, perhaps it is time to reconsider what your own Court values are.

THE COURT OF COULOGNE offers the following words for the Lanlath Astrid, for the second time. In the old days of the Viridian and Violet Orders, the guardsmen used to cut out the tongues, and off the hands of the lowly scum who insulted the peerage. The Court hopes you pray we live in a more civilized Regalian age. The Court demands you excuse yourself from interacting with the Baron until you can sincerely apologize.

THE COURT OF COULOGNE offers the following recommendations to Houses Norinn and Nayelen to quickly remedy these repeated offenses:

  • i. A public apology & address to the Baron Rohan Bavere de Coulogne for repeated slander by their staff.
  • ii. A submission of all members of House Norinn and Nayelen for Viridian re-education on noble etiquette and Court Protocol.
  • iii. The timely arrest of the Lanlath Astrid for low law offenses, to be served privately in the Barony of Coulogne under the supervision of the Baronial Guard.
  • iv. A personal expression or gift to the Baron de Coulogne to reconcile the grievances caused by this insult.

The Baron is remorseful that this issue has had to become publicized in order to prompt swifter action. He wishes for this to be resolved with haste.

Signed,

Mr. Juve-Baptiste Pompallier, Baron's Scribe of the Court of Coulogne

SIGNED,

HIS LORDSHIP BARON ROHAN BAVERE OF COULOGNE

A swift response comes, penned in golden ink,

i. "Astrid" is not, and has never been, a member of the Nayëlen Court. I don't know who told you that or what qualifications they provided for this claim, but they are blatantly fraudulent.

ii. "Astrid" is an alleged thrall in service to the Vampire Sylas Sylphaalor and should be exorcised by your priesthood immediately. Heavens forbid she is not a thrall, and doing this willingly.

iii. "Astrid", if ever seen near the Nayëlen Estate, will be swiftly removed by force and turned to the Metropolitan and/or the Viridian Order for; Low Law Processing, Exorcism, & Impersonation of Noble Staff.

iv. I don't know who Baron du Coulogne is. I have however sent a basket of Regalian fruit to "Mr. Juve-Baptiste Pompallier, Baron's Scribe of the Court of Coulogne", which I request be delivered to the Baron.

Glory to the Empire,
Long Live Mother Agnevaal,

Lady Rekha Kaur-Bagheera Jalaalï Nayëlen

Issuance by the Court of Sturnworth: A Testimony by Scribe Alfred Simpkins
Resolved,

The matter of Miss Astrid's employment has been one met by scowl and frustration by much of the Norinn Court. She had been under a period of 'provisional tenure', or, 'trial pay', to see if she would be a good fit for the House. An earlier investigation was made in which she was suspected the assassin against Count Norinn's life, though the Viridian Order found these claims flimsy and false in their entirety. We do not know for what motivation Baron Bavere pressed these charges against the Miss Astrid, though nevertheless the Viridians advised us to continue to employ Miss Astrid in the aftermath.

The recent feud she's sought to endeavor with the Baron has forced the Court of Sturnworth to terminate her from prospective status to our Household Staff, as her actions both against House Bavere and House Nayelen have been found reprehensible and inexcusable. House Norinn does not hire people that have it out for their allies and issues sincere condolences, both privately, and now publicly, for the harms caused by her.

As a result, House Norinn joins in issuing this call:

I. An arrest warrant for Miss Astrid is reinforced, if suspected of any further Low Law violations upon the Baron Bavere.

II. An investigation is issued for whoever is believed to have drugged Miss Astrid on the most recent occurrence of indecent action against Baron Bavere. While duress is a valid legal excuse, it is not a reputational one. Nevertheless, this culprit should be brought to justice for further damaging relations via Miss Astrid upon all Houses. House Norinn will personally have its prosecutors on this case.

In good faith and order,
Scribe Alfred Simpkins, penned on behalf of the Count of Armendhale

Major von Rolanthe offers a brief response to the decrees above, with advice to seek the assistance of the Viridian Order with haste. He also reminds that the Viridian remain at their disposal to attend to these matters, and to officiate this call for arrest. While public decrees offer sway of influence and posture, often are solutions found in private mediated conversation.

With Grace,
Major von Rolanthe, Darkwald of the Lothar Order

Gossip surges through the halls of the Nayëlen estate one fine morning, causing every servant and attendant to whisper into the ears of another. Between the court artisans, mages, scribes, and bookkeepers, not a single one could find an employment record despite turning the hidden archives section upside down. A wave of carriages blasts down the Imperial Isle, carrying dozens of attendants to Regalia's government buildings, where they take up every desk demanding records for one such Lanlath named Astrid. Boxes upon boxes of documents and files are packed into wagons, which are paraded down the street in mounds. Public onlookers mistake this for a demonstration to lower taxes and clap their hands in applause. The carriage train, now twenty feet long and propelled by both magic and horsepower, wheels around the front courtyard of the noble cluster, blocking entry to neighbouring estates, much to the likely annoyance of House Valloaan and House Alein. Then the move begins. Magic springs to life piling boxes into the estate's entrance hall. Servants bump shoulders just to squeeze through the towering mounds of paperwork. Every document is scoured and triple-checked for accuracy. A pile for publicly employed "Astrids" grows high to the ceiling, dating only as far back as Regalia's vampire occupation.

Hours later, a scribe, who was running on three cups of extra caffeinated tea, finalized a notice for the Countess to approve:

There are no employment records for a Lanlath named "Astrid" under House Nayëlen.

Signed,
Court Nayëlen's Scribe

One of the few advisors within House Nayëlen had attached a notice at the gossip. Penned with ink on a slightly crumpled parchment.

I write here as one of the Advisors who had served House Nayëlen since the day of my rekindling. As found by the recent documents and statement by Lady Rekha Nayëlen, there is no and had never been a Lanlath named "Astrid" hired within the Court, even if they were to be hired, it would've come to my attention and reached my ears long ago. No untouched whisper had made its way away from me and many others within the Court.
Where had such claim of hire of such a person to House Nayëlen arrived from? They must be exorcized at once to assure the safety of the people to not spread any further within the citizens reach.

Signed, Alviraan Prahsaad
Nayëlen Court Culinary Artisan

To the concerned Citizenry and Peerage.

The Viridian Order sees your concerns, and we will act swiftly.

I will begin clearing the air; the Baronial Guard (legally identified as RETAINERS) does not possess the authority to imprison or provide punishment for Law Violators. According to State Penal Code: Retainers are legally given the authority to defend their employers, but never aggravate or take the place of Law Enforcement personnel.

Secondly, I will address that the Viridian Order did not 'advise the Norinn family to proceed with employing Ms. Astrid'. We are not advisors to the Peerage, and we are not responsible for a houses' staff, nor do we have a say in who an employer chooses to provide careers to.

We will always extend services such as Background Checks in junction with the State Metropolitan, upon request.

Finally, a warrant has been posted for their arrest and exorcism, and an investigation has begun. The Viridian Order gladly accepts their invitation to ensure justice is carried forth.

Glory to the Empire.

The Regalian Garrison of the Viridian Order
