A Proclamation Of Virtuous Support

To the peoples of Regalia,​

Recent events around the Crown Isle have proven most grave and catastrophic, and it is truly horrific to see - following the devastation the recent Void Plague brought upon our city and society - that the tribulations we face are far from over. The recent occurrences over the Anglian landmass, and subsequent political vacuum that have ensued prove clearly worrying. With the aide and protection of the Spirit, I am certain that we as a greater community will persevere onwards as we so often do, and will always continue to do in the future.


Yet, what proves more concerning is that there are those who seek to use their position to further destabilise the realm, and in the process create far more suffering that those below will have to endure. The sole remaining member of the State Council, Lady Amelina Peirgarten, has made her best efforts with true intentions to bring urgent stability to these difficult times. However the subsequent illegitimate proclamation by the High Reverend, in declaring his own governance over the city, has only exemplified the issues faced within the city and furthermore interfering in a matter that should, and has been clearly handled by the state.


The overall purpose behind this move is unclear, and even if some behind this move perhaps held honest intentions, this would not excuse that continuing to push for such a theocratic government is equivalent to a coup d'etat against the rightful leadership over the archipelago and the empire at large. As the (albeit self-proclaimed) representative of the Ithanian communities of the city and the empire, we will do whatever we must in bringing what resources and wealth we have to bare, in ending this looming cloud of destruction that lies above us, and seeks to starve and subjugate us. We must try and avoid dividing ourselves into camps and fighting amongst one another, while foreign and internal threats circle and conspire to destroy us and everything we hold.

While my own efforts to support this may seem insignificant, our own fortunes may develop to make this less apparent. We shall commit ourselves to bringing in what food we can from our Ithanian homeland to assist those in the greatest need in the archipelago, and use what wealth we have to fund those dutifully willing to aid. We shall commit our own family, and considerable base of supporters alike to give their utmost in providing for those less fortunate, supplying them in their time of need, defending them from the grave dangers that may be faced and fighting for them at their most vulnerable. Yet, we also issue a call; to our fellow Ithanians, both within the archipelago and outside of it, to do what you are able, to stand beside us and support those who are just and rightful, whoever they may be and however it must be done. Remaining hidden quietly in the shadows is no longer an option we can afford - standing strong and united against those selfish enough to seek power for themselves in a time of great instability is what we must do.

I pray that the Empire finds unity and strength in this dark hour, and I pray that Ithania stands beside Regalia to aid in this duty.
