The Penbrook Athenaeum is a combination between a library and a café, allowing those who would like to escape the chaos of everyday life a chance to sit down and relax with a good book and their drink of choice. We strive to create a welcoming environment and a place of respite from the outside world, as well as providing books to those who may not otherwise have access to such materials, or those who simply need a good book to read. We also hope to provide a space for activities such as study groups, tutoring, book clubs, and other services run either by employees or members of the community.

We're located in Petal Court, just past the gardens-- look for the green and yellow banners!

• Everyone is welcome, however, both the owner and other employees have the right to restrict or ban someone from the premises for any reason, especially the breaking of other rules.
• Books that are borrowed from the library are to be returned in a timely manner, and must still be in good condition upon their return, otherwise the borrower will be expected to replace or refund them.
  • Due dates for each borrowed book are up to the discretion of the employees, based on the size, content, and intended use of the book.
• Fights are not permitted on the premises. Verbal sparring matches are allowed, but please try to keep your voice down. This is a library, after all.
• Be careful when drinking or eating near the books. You will be expected to replace anything you damage.

OOC Notes: Hello, everyone! Even though the cafe is the actual "business" part of this, the athenaeum is still free to use as an RP spot regardless of whether or not the café is being manned!
